Books with a Libertarian bent, for expanding one's mind and consciousness, learning different perspectives, to make one think. Fiction or non-fiction. By creating this list I'm hoping readers and writers will add the books that they would recommend for exploring intellectual and practical understanding of the Libertarian world view.

Orwell was certainly not a libertarian, nor did 1984 have a libertarian bent.

While Aldous Huxley is not strictly libertarian, I found it to be a decent critique of how consumerism can impact government enforcing strongly anti-liberty legislation on individuals. Either way, this was a much better list that I found:www.goodlibertarianbooks.com
The idea that Orwell was a libertarian or that 1984 was a libertarian novel lol. I guess someone doesn't know his life story. He was an ardent socialist, who fought against fascism in Spain. He was opposed to totalitarianism, but was in no way a libertarian!
Orwell doesn't have to be a Libertarian for 1984 to be on this list. This is not a list of evidence that authors are Libertarian, this is a list of books that contain Libertarian ideas. 1984, unequivocally, has significant Libertarian ideas, as Libertarianism is significantly anti-authoritarian, anti-fascist, anti-government.
Arguing against 1984's placement on this list is like arguing against a book of stories about vegetarians being on a list of ideas about Vegetarianism because the author of the book ate meat.
It's one thing to be wrong, but it's another to be wrong and condescending to someone by, literally, saying you are laughing at them (lol). That not only makes you look stupid, but makes you look like an a--hole.
