[close] For those who share books with children en masse (such as librarians and early childcare providers), this is a group to talk about books you've enjoyed sharing with young readers, and to get new storytime ideas.

[close] Sidwell's book Fetch comes out TODAY! For the next 24 hours (May 15th 9 a.m.-May 16th 9 a.m.) the author will be answering questions about the book and his writing process!

[close] Hi Friends! If boys are far more likely to lose interest in reading as they age what can we as parents do to foster reading motivation in the home environment? Research suggests we 1) be an explicit reading model, 2) create a book-rich environment, 3) offer opportunities for choice and to become familiar with lots of books, and 4) opportunities to interact socially with others about books. Thus the purpose of this group is to share book and author recommendations that are favorites of our children and will encourage a love of reading. Anyone is welcome to join this group but the intention is to focus on books that boys like. I'm hoping we can expand this group so please invite your friends! Thank you for sharing!
