[close] A strange discovery was made while scientists were studying ways to reverse cancerous tumor growth. Chemical Z was added by accident to one of the samples of tumorous cells and the chemical that was supposed to halt the tumor growth, but rather than halt the growth, it changed the cells and they started to rebuild the part of the body that the cells had been taken from. Curious, they found a necrotic host and injected this new mixture into the dead cells to see what happened. The results were astonishing. The mixture brought the dead cells to life, and what's more, started to repair the damage done to the host that was inflicted at its time of death. Within 24 hours, the deceased animal was alive again. Eating and performing all functions that a living rabbit would do. Trials began in earnest after this insane discovery that literally could bring back the dead. It was studied at length, learning how long the host could be dead before passing the point of no return. It was also learned that in there was a finite number of times one could be revived, in fact the serum only worked once. It was not until after some trials on several donated deceased humans were ran that it was finally released to be used by the public (as a prescription) several years later. It was only allowed to be used on a deceased person who had died within the last month that the serum came out, and could only be used if the guardian of the deceased (parent or otherwise if under 18) or the husband/wife of the deceased signed several forms giving permission and reading paperwork that told them to expect some possible side effects, especially if the death was not natural causes. So, if for example the death was something like a brain hemorrhage, expect things like memory loss, impeded motor functions and brain functions for the first 6 months while the Life After Death Serum fixes the damage.
