Tartarus Press is a "highly acclaimed, independent British publisher founded in 1990 by R. B. Russell and Rosalie Parker. They specialize in collecting, preserving, and releasing literary supernatural, strange, and macabre fiction."
Being maintained—some from a century ago—for their literary reknown are authors such as Arthur Machen, Robert Aickman, M.R. James, and David Lindsay. At the same time, modern authors including Angela Slatter, Reggie Oliver, and Andrew Michael Hurley have also found a home with the publisher.
