I've been told that there are a few things in this book that are a bit iffy but that it's a good intro to linguistics:)

I'm rereading Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman. It's one of my favourites and I've been meaning to reread it for a few years now.

I just started reading The Language Instinct: How the Mind Creates Language by Steven Pinker. It was a gift from a friend who knows how much I love language. So far I quite like it

I read this book several years ago. I remember quite liking it and like Greg being pleasantly surprised :)

It wasn't great to meet you too, Alice! Thank you for reminding me to check in on the group. It's been a tough year with lots of emotional changes, which is why I had to step away for a while, but I'm getting back into my reading again so hopefully I'll be around more :)

I'm reading Wade Davis' The Wayfinders: Why Ancient Wisdom Matters in the Modern World. Such an excellent book. I wish I'd read it in undergrad anthropology
