Not sure if I'll manage to read the rest this year or if they'll end up pushed into 2026. They're all books I definitely want to read, and I've positive expectations of 3 of them. The Poisoners Tale is the unknown quantity but I know the story it's based of (it was included in the Ghosts & Crimes Of Rome Night Walk I went on)

Unfortunately I didn't end on a high note. I didn't have high expectations for The Atlas Complex so at least I wasn't disappointed. I was just determined to get through the trilogy. I did like the first book but it was downhill from there and I wouldn't recommend.

Like many people who have already commented, I grew up being allowed to read whatever I wanted. I assume my parents thought that if it was inappropriate, I'd either lose interest or ask questions about it.

I don't think it's the place for schools, governments etc to ban books. Maybe in very limited/extreme circumstances... but generally I think it should be up to the parents. And even think, I think parents should encourage free choice so that kids can broaden their knowledge and understanding, learn how diverse the world can be, both in good and bad ways.

10th book finished - The Duchess. I enjoyed this book about Wallis Simpson. It was nice to read about someone different, and a different period in Royal historical fiction.
