In making 2023 goals I almost want to read the next book in every series I have already started. BUT I don't add whole series at once to my list so I wouldn't be getting anywhere lol
1) Longest-sitting fiction and nonfiction on TBR2) Really look at whole TBR and organize it
3) 4 WoT (5 6 7 8)
4) Read 20k pages (not counting audio)
I read the longest-sitting non-fictions (Bottleneckers and On the Wings of an Eagle) this year. Next year the longest sitting non-fic will be The Inner Life of Animals BUT the longest-sitting book is fiction: Crime and Punishment. I will either read it or remove it from my list in 2023!
Picked back up months later with #4 and finished it. Started reading #5 (only about 10% through def won't make it in 2022) and enjoying the series again. I will probably finish this series but not as quickly as I had hoped.

In the middle of #4...struggling a little bit.I think the ending will ramp up a bit but the middle of a 1,000 page book is a looong middle. THEN that book is only #4 of like 14 books so it's a very long middle, indeed.
I'm wanting less battle and more about the mythology of the world in the different cultures. I know there's a lot of story left but we still don't have a great grasp on the characterization of the white and yellow ajahs. I like the Aiel/Way of the Leaf split that came up.
OMG! I need to quit reading the bibliography and suggested reading sections of books...I bet I've added 80 books this year!
Finished #3 wasn't as good as #1 and #2Did listen to a few chapters but counted them all as 'read' since it was only a few chapters just to see how the audio is. It's okay but I really feel that I got more 'into it' with real reading.
Will continue on to #4 but have 4 buddy read commitments over next 3 weeks will focus on those.
