Suntail looked up at the elder, eyes filled with grief, "That he's gone to StarClan to join his father and littermates" she whispered, "I don't know what else I can tell them"

Lionkit heard his mother's cry and crouched low to the ground, "I don't think Duskkit is ok" he whispered

Suntail gave up licking at the medicine cats words and shook her head, "It's not your fault, I'd seen him coughing and didn't do anything about it. I'm a terrible mother, it's my fault he's dead" she muttered as she curled around his tiny body, wishing that by some miracle he would wake and tell her he was alright

Duskkit kept taking in shaky breaths for a few more moments before he took in one last, deep breath and fell still.

Suntails cry could be heard throughout the camp as she threw herself at the kit, licking his fur trying to get him to breath again

Iceblossom fixed him with a stern look, "Absolutely not, you will help Gullpaw and Heatherclaw carry the herbs back to camp and then you will not leave the camp again until your apprentices" she brushed her tail along his back in affection to soften the blow of her words to the young kit.

Spiderkit's tail drooped but she padded over to Gullpaw, "What should I carry?"

Suntail took a step back from Duskkit to let Owlwhisper work, "Please" she begged, "Save him. I can't lose another kit" Suntail begged the medicine cat.

Duskkit regained consciousness and started to cough up water, but he continued coughing even when there was no more water to cough up. His tongue started turning purple form the lack of oxygen and Suntail let out a cry.

Lionkit pressed against Dovekit for comfort. "Is he gonna be ok?" he asked whoever was listening

Suntail picked up Duskkit gently and nudged Dovekit forward with her tail, heading back to camp. Emberpaw was taking too long so she would take him to her,

Blackthorn, who had left camp to share FInchheart's advice, met her halfway and gently picked up Mintkit and they arrived back at camp quickly.

Suntail set Duskkit down, "It's alright, you're going to be ok" she soothed, running her tail along his small body

Autumnpaw glared at Arcticclaw before settling down next to Thornpaw right outside the apprentice den.

"Is Dawnpelt in trouble?" Thornpaw whispered

Autumnpaw shook her head, "I don't know yet"

Dawnpelt studied Pebblepaw for a moment, displeased with the situation, before turning back to Beetlestar. "I apologize for not going after her, but I assumed that Arcticclaw had simply taken her out and forgotten to let me know." she started, "I went to fetch her after finishing my meal and she had already left. But I knew she was safe with Arcticclaw and Autumnpaw so I spent the day helping around camp instead." she then looked to Arcticclaw before continuing, "I understand if there are consequences and I will accept them"

((Yeah, as long as we don't have a medicine cat Ratstar will have to do it))

Stormpaw nodded, looking to the sky, "It is almost time for the gathering as well. So don't take too long" he reminded him

Oakleaf nodded, "It will be alright, I'm sure they're on their way back with them right now" he reassured his clanmate

Spiderkit came out of hiding in the bush. "Sorry mom, we just wanted to see the forest a little bit"

Spiderkit shrugged, "So? It's just Ravenstar. "As long as mom doesn't-" Spiderkit trailed off as she heard Iceblossom join Ravenstar's calls, "Uh-oh" she muttered, her tail and ears drooping

Dawnpelt glanced at the sky, she didn't want to be out too late. She sighed, "Lets wait a few moments, they are probably headed back to camp by now"

"I'm sure Iceblossom won't let anything happen to them"Oakleaf reassured him.

Snowkit padded out of the nursery, blinking sleep from his eyes. "Shadowtail? What's wrong?"

"Owlwhisper is at the Moon Pool with Falconswoop. One of Suntail's kits fell into the stream and almost drowned" Blackthorn told him

Dawnpelt blinked slowly before nodding, "Ok, you haven't happened to see Pebblepaw come back yet?" she asked. "She went out with Arcticclaw this morning and I haven't seen her"
Dawnpelt scanned the clearing for her apprentice, "I suppose she may have to miss out on patrol"

Autumnpaw turned back to glare at her mentor, before she pun on her heels and walked back to camp without a word, her tail flicking quickly back and forth

Stormpaw had finished wrapping his wounds and sat in front of him. "You're not reckless. Duskstrike knew exactly what he was doing when he followed you into battle" he started. "If you hadn't killed the badger who knows what kind of damage it may have done, how many other cats it may have injured."

Stormpaw reached out and touched his nose to Ratstar's head in a comforting gesture. "Even if it hadn't come here the other clans have kits that could have been injured or killed" Stormpaw glanced at Duskstrike, "And while killing it may not have been the path every leader would take," Stormpaw admitted, before continuing with certainty in his eyes, "There's not a single warrior in this clan who would let you lead them straight into danger. Duskstrike believed in the cause and got some injuries. But he WILL recover"

Ok, sounds good!

Suntail was too overwhelmed with Duskkits failing breathes to realize she still had a kit to comfort with her. She continued to send up silent prayers to Starclan, begging them to save her kit. She watched helplessly as Duskkits breathes became shallower and quicker
