Lyra didn’t spot anything until she saw a stall that seemed to be selling books. She walked over to it looked through the options, seeing if there were any she hadn’t read yet. She picked out three and handed the coins to the merchant, before putting the books in her satchel.

If anyone would like to rp I have Xero.

Lyra walked into the busy market, swerving to avoid any big groups of people, and scanned to see if she could immediately spot what she was looking for. When she could not she sigh and instead started glancing at the nearest stalls for anything of interest.

Xero is a chill guy, while most people avoid him because of his resting face (which often looks angry, he’s been told) he’s actually very calm, nice, and reassuring once you approach him, even if it takes a little while for him to become all that talkative.. He’s fun to banter with and will match your sarcasm with his own. It takes a lot to make him mad and when he does it’s often a quiet mad, because he doesn’t like to yell. If you do get him to yell he’s actually very loud, and that’s partly because his shouts will mix with his bird screeches.

[History]
Xero, like most of his kind, grew up in the upper nests. At least until he was around five. Around then is when it turned out his parents had got sick of him. He doesn’t remember why they decided this and he doesn’t really care anymore, he just doesn’t think about them much. Anyway they decided to kick him off to the lower nests. Luckily his wings didn’t get injured in the process, however his face and arms were not so lucky. They ended up getting scarred pretty badly, so he wears his mask and cape to hide most of it. After falling to the lower nests with the rest of the rejects, who helped him recover from the fall, he grew up with them. He helped them find food and helped them return to the higher nests when they were ready. He however, never felt the urge to return to the platforms, so instead he stayed and helped any new kids who fell. After a while he did end up getting tired of being stuck in their little area, so he said goodbye to the others and started traveling. Because of this he knows where most territories borders are and what area to avoid, so when he needs money he works as a travel guide. He will return to the lower nests every once in a while to check up on the childhood friends, but for the most part he’s out wandering.

‘Probably nothing more than half an hour.’ She stood from her seat and left a tip for the waiter. ‘But I can’t be sure, they might have some really neat stuff.’

Lyra looked out at at the sky and saw the sun was getting pretty high up so she scribbled down something for the other to read.
‘I wanted to stop by the market. Do you wanna come with?’ She slid it to her while she collect her other stuff.

Whoop I hadn’t realized some else was there somehow, jeez… but also they moved apparently.))

She shuffled in her seat for a moment. 'I read' she paused 'sometimes I write.'

Lyra blinked again, then hid her head in her hands to hide her blushing. After moment she peeked between her fingers and stuck her tongue out at the other.

But this also a rp where the characters are literally half fish genetics do not rlly matter..
