Thank you all so much for participating in our reading challenge! We surpassed our goal of 1874 (the year The Mark Twain House was built) and hit a grand total of 1,965 books! We are going to keep this page going since it has been fun to see what everyone is reading and discussing books. I will post author events (live and virtual) in here from time to time and we may revisit this in the future. Thank you again! :)
Update! We are 160 books away from our goal! Hopefully you are all hunkering down at some point between now and January 1st to get your read on! I think we can do it!!!
Hello challenge readers! We have another update for you! We have reached 1,450 books! That means we are just 424 books from our goal! We have a final push over December, but I think we can do it! Thank you all so much!

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you an update on our challenge progress! We just hit 625 books! We have no reached our next goal of "Prints and the Paper." :) We are now looking to hit the 900 level which is "Joan of ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy). Keep up the great work!
We've hit 512 books in the challenge! That's 27% of our overall goal, but only 88 away from our next benchmark. What did everyone read over the Labor Day holiday weekend?
Awesome Amanda! Demon Copperhead is one of our American Voice shortlist books.And Donna, I haven't heard of that book yet. Sounds great! I'll be sure to add it to my TBR list.

Hey everyone!I wanted to give a reading goal update! Currently we have reached 23% (437 books) of our goal. That is AWESOME! Keep up the excellent work!
We have passed our first level "Tome Sawyer" (300 books) and our next one is "Prints and the Paper" which is 600 books read!

Hey everyone! We have an official reading goal by December 31st of 1,874 books which is the year the Clemens family moved into the house. Next year will be the 150th anniversary so we figured it was a perfect goal. We have installed a book tracker in the museum center and we will update the group from time to time with our progress! Thank you!
