"Oh, I'm pretty sure it resulted in some kind of brain damage, but she seemed to be having a bad day already. Something about her boyfriend breaking up with her and her cat dying."

"Yeah, a few hours, but us elves are on our feet pretty quickly. I don't think she saw me, but I woke up having been dragged out of the road."

"Yeah... I don't think she realized what it could do, but I was out cold for quite a while."

"It was some girl above a flower shop, didn't have the nicest personality. She had apparently got it for her birthday and kept complaining about how ugly it was. She finally just tossed it out the window and it hit me in the head."

"Someone threw it out the window, got a good scar catching it, but it was worth it."

"It's a piece of quartz. Most people think it's worthless, but it's so beautiful..."

Moss just stood there, not sure how to continue.

Moss jumped at the sudden voice, any illusion of extra light shattering.

(np, but little thing: I think Nova's waiting on you in the dorms, but they're not getting on for a little)

The shadows started to deepen again, however slowly. "They seem to have some kind of anger..."

"It's just this hallway, and it won't hold long..." He seemed a little embarrassed. "Better with plants."

(crap, didn't see this)
"Oh, that's an easy fix..." Moss concentrated a second, and the shadows softened.

"Oh, okay..." He seemed a little wary, but it was just his nature.

"Not often, and you need to know how to understand them when they do. Mostly they just listen, it's better than people who just talk with no regard for what the other is really saying."

"I won't say anything. Not like I have anyone to say it to except the bugs." Moss stood, brushing a little dirt off of already mudstained pants.

Moss jumped.
"Oh- um- hi..."
He scuttled to pick up his treasure, stuffing it into a shirt pocket overflowing with twigs, leaves and more stones.
