He shook his head. "No we don't." he said. "I never want to talk about that again." he held the knife in his hand tighter so his knuckles looked almost translucently white.

where is Anastasia? When are the results of this going to be?

He took the gun from me and showed me the small switch at the back. "This is the safety." he said. "If you pull it back, the gun will shoot, or it won't."

"It's not that easy." he said seriously. "You need a lot of practice to shoot and it's difficult to aim." he came next to me and handed me a gun. "It's loaded." he said. "So be careful."

But I still took the knife from him. "So...we're going to fight it?" I asked, weighing the knife in my hand.

"What are you doing?" I walked over to him. He handed me a knife. "We're going to have to go Annie." he said, looking at me straight in the eye.

Alex roughly pushed me aside and went to look at what damage the boulder had caused. I shivered slightly. This was bad. He walked towards me a minute later, his face grim. "We're going to have to go." he said.

I involuntarily shut my ears, wanting to say something to Alex for the Twilight comment but I could hardly hear my own thoughts with that noise.

I realised that he was as scared as I was. I placed a hand on his arm. "Everything will be all right." I said. I made a face. "It usually is when werewolves and vampires are concerned so I don't see why our case should be any different."

"What do you think we should do?" I whispered back to him, feeling terrified but not wanting to show him that I was.
