Right! I was going with the date listed here on GR and never checked amazon. Thanks, Sofia. I can't wait. Nick gossip with guys after! :)

Gah! I thought it was Feb. 25th! Thanks, Lena! I'm off to buy! :)
Hi Everyone! :) I don’t have a question. I just wanted to say how much I’m looking forward to catching up with Nick in book 8. I’ve been counting down the days! Can’t wait!
Rosa—THAT is an awesome t-shirt! Haha…Those are the types of souvenirs I live for!Yeah--I twitch like you wouldn’t believe when GR goes down. Looking forward to stories about your Chicago adventure. Hope you have fun. :)
@Marshall--I should have known. I bet it did! It sounded beautiful though.Ooooh, I want to see the Library someday too. Every time Nick mentions the fiche machines, my eyes hurt and blink uncontrollably. :D
@Rosa—LOL! I had forgotten that crazy historical tidbit about Stonewall! Haha….And this shocks a lot of people, but I am not on Facebook. Just here. Thanks though! :)
Are you a souvenir fan? I love picking up cheesy historical souvenirs!
@Marshall--Does Marshall Field’s still exist? The way Nick talked about his time there as a kid with his mom and brothers made my heart hurt.
@Rosa--Aaaah! I can smell the history from here. Wow! It sounds like one hell of a ride! Hey—Is there a headstone for Stonewall’s arm? I’ve been to Gettysburg. You can feel the history in the ground there. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
p.s. Could you please post a picture or two of the pedway system in Chicago? I’m willing to beg. :)
Rosa--Three weeks! That is awesome! Can I bug you for a few details? I’m a huge history geek. Where have you been so far? What city or spot are you most looking forward to? Sorry. I don’t mean to sidetrack or high-jack the conversation. Just being nosy. Have fun!
Watermelon diet? I don’t even know what to say to that. Except—more research. I’m off to look up Liberace. Ryan White’s story hit me as a kid in the 80s.
It sounds amazing. Chicago has always been on my list of cities to visit for the baseball and movie theaters. But wow!—throw in underground tunnels? I’m sold! I’m a walker here in Boston. And I tell ya—underground tunnels would be heaven-sent in the winter.
Chicago feels perfect for Nick and the series. I also have to confess to bit of 80s nostalgia here. This story is pulling out a lot of old memories from the 80s for me. Betamax! Dial phones. And even smoking. The way Nick smokes any & everywhere shows the time too. Thanks for the nicotine memories. :)
Hi Gang! I’m new to the group, so I apologize if my topic has already been discussed. I’m still trying to play catch up on the feeds. :)The chase scene in the tunnels in Boystown 3 has become one of my favorites. It got me researching today! The underground pedway system is real! How did I not know this?
“Chicago’s downtown pedestrian way system, the Pedway, lies in the heart of the city. This system of underground tunnels and overhead bridges links more than 40 blocks in the Central Business District, covering roughly five miles.” --- I have to go there!
I really just wanted to thank you, Mr. Thornton, for sending me off on a geeky research trip and tangent.
Why did you set the series in Chicago?
