I’m going to skip both pools this year. I just have so many books (and ARCs) already on my TBR list. But I’ll be watching everyone else’s lists with interest; I’m always open to finding a good new-to-me book/author.
Here’s my list:The Cheerleader by Ruth Doan MacDougall
The Plague and I by Betty MacDonald
Lady Rose and Mrs. Memmary by Ruby Ferguson
Water Weed: A Golden Age Mystery by Alice Campbell
A Pink Front Door by Stella Gibbons

I’m so shamefully behind on the Book Pool, I don’t feel like I should even venture an opinion. 🫣That said, I’m happy with whatever Carol and Cindy decide to do.
I like it. The lady in the banner looks like she could be besties with the lady in my profile picture.
Elinor, I’m glad I’m not the only one. So many books, so little time. But I enjoy seeing what the group is up to.

My favorite Seton is Dragonwyck.
I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but we were just discussing Flambards, and I see that the author, KM Peyton, passed away very recently. For anyone who’s interested, here’s a nice tribute from pony book publisher Jane Badger: https://janebadgerbooks.co.uk/k-m-pey...

I remember reading Mr. & Mrs. Bo Jo Jones in high school. I think there may have been a TV movie, too.

Cindy, sadly, I’ve never seen the TV series, but I see it’s available on YouTube. I’d love to read the books and watch the series in 2024.
Sharon wrote: "Thank you, Carol! The Portrait of Jennie was my favorite book for a very long time. I haven't looked at it in years and it will be great to re-read and share with the group. :)"I’d love to read Portrait of Jennie. I’m glad you added it to the Book Pool.

It looks like Wanted: A Girl For The Horses is available on Open Library. I’d be interested in reading that one.
I’m surprised Image Cascade doesn’t reprint some Betty Cavanna books. Seems perfect for them.

This is one I’ve been wanting to read.

Oooh, a Margery Sharp I haven’t read. And I love Showboat.
