She turned to the girl in the stocks. "What is your name?"

"Nice to meet you" kristen said looking around.

Rain screamed as the bears big paws reached after her. This wasn't working out the way she had planned. An arrow missed the beast and went past into the gulley. It hit the ground right in front of rain. The bear reached for her as she avoided the arrows. It pulled her out of the cliff face and held her above its head. The bears pelt was thick with arrows. Rain could feel the bears claws ripping her skin and she screamed.

"I'm Kristen, by the way."

As rain had hoped the bear followed her. Once she had seen wolf run the opposite direction she panicked. She ran as fast as she could but the bear was gaining on her. "Spirits protect me!" She cried to the sky. She ran into a narrow gully. She began to climb up the cliff face. she hoped the bear would give up on the hunt for her and return to her cubs.

Rain screamed as loud as she could and ran in the opposite direction from wolf. She knew that the bear would follow. She was probably only protecting her den.

Rain Trembled with fear. "Wolf!" She yelled as the bear lashed out at him.

Rain stumbled into another glade of trees and reached down to pick up a dead stick. She didn't notice the bushes behind her moving. As she straightened back up something large came rushing out of the bushes. The Giant black bear hit her with her claws. Rain was thrown aside by the blow she hit the rock wall and lay there stunned. The bear came forward to attack. She let out a piercing scream.

Rain Gathered a few sticks from the ground then went farther into the woods to search for more.((Should something really exiting happen??))

Rain smiled and returned the gesture.

rain laughed. "Of course he did! I think you are doing really well though.

"I agree but we had to thank the animal for giving itself to us.

She smiled at him. She liked Wolf. "That was a beautiful animal."

Kristen heard the girl speak. "I agree but I would not suggest saying that here. There are too many guards." She said quietly to the two girls.

Kristen was in the market place when she heard a group of kids laughing at a girl in the stocks. What had this town come to? She couldn't help but see that the people were not witches.

Rain walked into the woods. "How is your apprenticeship going?" She asked picking up some sticks.

"It's fine. i'm sure he will be back by sundown. will you help me gather firewood?"

"Good. We will have lots of meat for the cold days." Rain said heartily. "Have you seen my father?"
