161174 So that was that then. Not a problem, however, as far as he understood. That would be Xavier's problem. Darius had enough to worry about on his own. "I'll help get you signed up at the school then when we get there." he said, leaning his head back in his seat. At least another hour and a half before they got there, then a cab after that. It would have made sense to try to get some sleep but with his eyes closed Darius found it that much harder to keep his mind clear.

Wilhelm sighed in resignation, pushing his chair back on the hardwood floors with a screach. He stood and grabbed his nearly untouched tray before heading over to the table where Miss Woods sat. She had already noticed his staring, something he had hoped to avoid, but she had to be used to it by now. "G'mornin'" he said as he sat down across from her in a conveniently empty seat. A good opportunity to attempt to galvanize himself against her uniquely problematic abilities. "I was wonderin' if you might 'ave 'eard about anythin' comin' up." he asked in his thick British accent. It was no secret within the school that Wilhelm had been trying to get on a mission since before he was old enough to be eligible. He was intelligent, resourceful, quick thinking. His combat scores in the Danger Room were among the highest, yet he hadn't been taken on any missions despite his frequent requests. This he saw as a mistake if not a direct insult. In reality it was most likely because his combat scores were matched only by his aggression and capacity for violence. He couldn't see any resolution to a situation that didn't require force.

161174 Darius looked somewhat taken aback. "Well that would be fine, I'm sure. Although Mr. Xavier would probably prefer that your parents were the ones to check you in? Or at least to be sure that they know where you are?" he said. He could say one thing for the boy, he was enthusiastic. Darius downed the rest of his tea in one gulp, grimacing at the bitter dregs of the cold liquid. His eyelids drooped for a moment as his brain tried to bring yet another project to his attention but a few seconds later he rubbed a hand across his eyes and everything went back to normal. It was nearly impossible for him to just sit there quietly and not to fall right back into his internal network, much less hild a conversation. Help from those at the school couldn't come quickly enough.

161174 "Excellent, I'm sure you'll be welcome there. Of course from what I've heard they do prefer to have your parents present if you're under the age of 18?" Darius said, looking momentarily at the people around them half expecting to see his parents nearby. Of cours considering what the boy had already said it was just as likely that his parents weren't here. And it wasn't like it was unusual for mutants to leave their families. The families couldn't understand them and they often left to find people who could. Probably fortunate that Darius had told him about the school before he got mixed up with the wrong crowd.

161174 "That's a relief at least." be said, although he glanced around to make sure no one was looking in their direction after that less than subtle announcement. That at least somewhat explained why the other guy was travelling with no idea of where he was going to go. Darius shifted in his seat. "Then you must have heard of Xavier's school." he said. "This is the closest train. It's where I'm going. You should at least go see it if you don't have anywhere else to go. I've never been there myself but it's supposed to be a great place for… people like us".

161174 "No, not crazy" he said, although he sounded the slightest bit uncertain. There was a lot of hatred toward Mutants so he was hesitant to say more than he already had in such a public place. "Well people like me are kind of... shunned, to put it lightly." he said. Well it was pretty loud in the train, the chances of anyone else hearing him was slim. He might as well say. "It's, You know Mutants right?" he said hesitantly. It was extremely difficult these days to find someone who hadn't heard of mutants. For better or worse they were on the news more often than not and few people could make the distinction betweem the good and the bad ones. It meant that many people either didn't know quite what to make of them or were actively afraid of them.

161174 "It's, uh, a place out in the country. For people like me. I'm hoping they can help." he said. He still looked slightly distracted but he had shaken himself out of it for the most part. There were always things going on in the back of his mind but nothing he couldn't ignore. "That sounds like I'm going to an asylum or something doesn't it?" he said with. A chuckle escaped his lips and he shook his head in amusement before sighing. "It's... complicated. Where are you going?" he asked in return.

161174 There was something. Someone talking at the edges of his perception. Another passenger, obviously. Not important. The square root of 285,461 is 534 point 2855042- Darius shook his head for a moment. One hand released his long since cold tea to rub his temple. "The square root of the distance of the arc of motion needs to equal the approximate size of the shield segments, pulsing at a frequency of 14,000 surges per second for-" he stopped abruptly as his eyes flashed subtly, like he was coming out of a trance. He glanced up and looked around the car as if noticing it for the first time. "I'm sorry, what did you say?" he asked wearily when he noticed the person next to him who was looking at him strangely. Shield segments. Each segment must be put in parallel with the others to prevent-. Computers for targeting incoming ICBMS, timing loss of two milliseconds per minute, compounding indefinitely due to inability to accurately express fractions in binary code. Solve by- his train of thought jumped the rails again, delegating his earlier problem to another corner of his brain to be worked on in the background while he concentrated on something else. This could be seen on his face as his eyes partially glazed over again. After a few more moments he shook his head more violently and took a large drink of his tea. "Did- did you say something?" he asked again.

161174 Darius sat in a booth on the morning train, staring off into space at the wall directly across from him, a long forgotten cup of cold tea clutched in his hands. On the outside he looked completely normal if a bit distracted. He wore nice dress slacks although they were in need of a good press, a white buttone up shirt in similar condition, and black leather shoes. The only thing that marked him as not just another man on the morning train to work was the small black rectangle, about one inch tal and one and a half wide, that protruded a millimeter or two from the back of his neck. Inside he was overflowing with thoughts. Most of them organized although quite often one would spill over into the others and he had to concentrate to get them back into allignment. Thoughts on all sorts of subjects. Currently the one occupying the most of his attention was an equation to coordinate rapid firing anti-aircraft artillery with an oscillating energy shield. He took almost no notice of the other passengers on the train although it was nearly filled to capacity. Too much to think about to worry about what they were doing. Too much to do. Of course that was why he was on the train in the first place wasn't it? To get help. His powers were spiralling out of control. Soon he wouldn't be able to distinguish the physical world from the mental and the digital.

161174 Wilhelm's gray eyes swept over the room, taking in the faces. Lots of faces. It was a big school. He shouldn't have had to worry about anyone there but it was best to be careful and know exactly who was around. All the people who were normally there were there. His gaze barely paused as it passed over the students. As an exercise he decided which were the major threats based on things like powers, age, how long they had been at the school. He did the same with the teachers. Obviously they ranked higher on the list than most of the students did. Still he didn't spend much time one them. He had seen them enough times before to already have a pretty good idea of where each of them ranked. Then he saw Katherine and he stopped to stare at her for a moment without realising it. He shook his head to clear it and tore his gaze away. Beautiful as ever. Not that he expected anything less. She had always been like that. It annoyed him that he was still affected despite his best efforts. That such a base emotion could control him was infuriating, even if it was her power that was doing it. He tore a chunk out of the apple he was holding and looked back down at his plate, hoping she hadn't noticed although she must be use to it by now. He hadn't had class with her in several years, purposefully sat in a place where he couldn't see her normally. It just so happened that someone had been sitting in his place when he came in today.

161174 The dining hall was bustling, as it usually was around this time. Into this swirling maelstrom of laughter and joyous conversation, Wilhelm stepped. His combat boots thudded on the hardwood floor, his heavily muscled torso straining against his shirt (the largest he could find). He came in from a side entrance, slipped between two people who were far too happy for his tastes, and sat down at a corner of the table in the back of the room as far away from everyone as he could possibly get. All of these mutants with their spirited conversation was grating on his ears. With a scowl, he reached forward and grabbed an apple from one of the platters. Few others had his appreciation for peace and quiet and all of this noise just... Wilhelm raised a fist above the table but stopped himself before he could bring it to slam down on the oak tabletop. All of these voices, most talking just to hear themselves speak, were infuriating. But he supposed he should learn to put up with it. Besides, getting in trouble for causing a disturbance again so soon would probably not be the best idea.
