Izzy’s comments from the Harry Potter Next Generation group.

"Ruby!" Connor noticed his girlfriend and grinned widely, all signs of exhaustion gone. "Hey, where you've been? We missed you at our lunch study group." He pushed himself up, as if to hug her, and sat back down half a second later, realising how awkward that would have been. "Sandwich?" Connor asked as compensation, holding one out.

“Do you have something I can eat? Anything at all?” Connor asked, slightly desperately. He had missed last night’s dinner, breakfast and lunch and his stomach was growling. He hated making the house elves do extra work, but desperate times called for desperate measures. “Thank Merlin,” Connor murmured when a house elf named Blinky handed him a plate of sandwiches. “Thank you so much, Blinky,” He leant back into a seat and sighed, fully appreciating the relaxing moment.

Lucy snapped her head up and glared, not surprised to see the most irritable person of the whole school, Julian Dolohov, at the end of the aisle. "Be a little ruder, why don't you?" She shot back, standing up so she was more at level with him. "Sorry me doing my work distracted you!" Usually, Lucy was a bit more easygoing, but she was so not in the mood to deal with anyone's crap right now.

"Merlin," Lucy groaned, holding her head in her hands. "Stupid Potions and stupid Slughorn. Who even cares about the function of Ashwinder eggs? Not me. That's for sure, not me." She muttered, aware that she probably sounded crazy, talking to herself. Lucy dropped her head down on the book and groaned loudly once again.

Sounds good! I can start.

Maybe Lucy or Sebastian with Julian?

I do! I've got Lucy - 6th Gryffindor, Connor - 4th Gryffindor, and Sebastian - 6th Slytherin

”Apparently he’s like morally against hexing people who are total and complete idiotic jerks to him, so I did it for him,” Connor said rolling his, smiling a bit. His smile fell more and more as he heard her talk. God, he felt so bad, but he had no idea what to do. Comforting people was not his strong point, but he wished he had any idea of what to say. “Please Ruby,” He finally settled on, placing on hand on her shoulder. “Just tell me what’s wrong.”

“I’m hurt,” Connor joked, but he knew she was right. “How close are you with Sebastian…? No, he wouldn’t have.” Connor shook his head, knowing for once when to stop talking. “It’s nothing… Not much,” Connor corrected himself. He watched in concern as she replied, her eyes filling with tears. He knew she wasn’t okay, otherwise she wouldn’t have been crying. She was one of the strongest people he knew. “Ruby,” Connor began gently. “It’s okay. You don’t have to lie to me. You can talk to me. I’ll listen. I know you’re not the type to overreact over nothing.”

Ah sorry! I’m just about to head to school but maybe we could finish our Ruby and Connor one in the trophy room? Or we could start a new one too!

“Of course,” Connor said gently. He let out a small laugh. “I’ve landed myself in a month and a half’s worth of detention, if you can believe it,” he said. “I... Um, I did something bad. Not that the idiots didn’t deserve that,” Connor added, his eyes going dark. He still couldn’t think about it without trembling with fury. Remembering what was going on, Connor calmed and looked back towards Ruby. “Is there something going on, Min?”

Connor stumbled in shock when she hugged him, but wrapped his arms around her after a few seconds. They stood there, in silence, completely in their own little world. “Everything is going to be okay, Ruby,” Connor whispered. He desperately wanted to know who had hurt her, and what happened, but even he could recognize that she wasn’t ready to speak. He stood still, until the approaching sound of laughing students came closer, and gently withdrew himself from Ruby. He pulled her back into the privacy of the Trophy Room.

Why was she ignoring him? Connor asked himself, annoyed. Was it something he had done? Apparently, according to his cousin, Sebastian, Connor was always doing or saying stupid things that got him in trouble, but for once, Connor couldn’t remember doing anything wrong. That meant something else was wrong. Thankful for his Quidditch training, Connor sprinted after her, putting a hand on her shoulder when he caught up with her. “What’s wrong, Min?” He said, using the nickname she loved him using, hoping to draw a smile on her face.

"Ruby?" Connor asked, his heart leaping as he caught sight of her. Already, he felt more a bit better than how he had felt a few minutes ago. But why was she walking away? Did she not want to see him? And wait, were those tears? "Ruby," Connor called again, scrambling to his feet to catch up with her.

Connor drew a dusty rag over one of the thousands of trophies lining up the walls. His eyes drooped with tiredness - he hadn't had a proper night of sleep in over a week, and the month of magic-less detentions he had wasn't helping at all. It was only his third one of the set since he had gotten in trouble and he had already fallen miles behind on his school work and wished for Easter Break more than anything. The rag dropped to the floor, and suddenly unable to stay standing, Connor slumped back against the wall.

Sure, it will be up in a few minutes.

Or we can always do Ruby and Connor again, haha.
