168 Tinnekke I wanted you to know, I recently changed my life, moved to a different country and got rid of all but a free books, but I brought this book with me to continue studying it. I love the chapter about words of power. I'd never thought about the fact that words used to disparage women are actually compliments!

168 Hi everyone. I've been shamefully absent. My community's been in turmoil, and I've been ridiculously busy, which has not prevented me from however putting together a playlist of pagan music both on youtube and 8Tracks, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing, do feel free to check them out. The Youtube one is all official pagan videos, with original songs, and the eight tracks is pure audio and mostly very obscure music.

Sadly the audio playlist can only be heard if you live in the US or are using a US IP address, and the sight does require you to sign up, but just thought I'd share what I'd been doing. Love you all.

168 Hi Danielle, welcome to our group. I think it was probably the Tarot which first attracted me also. Great to have you. Blessed be.

168 I would love to see an illustrated version of the Mabinogian myself, or the Kelavala. I think these stories have never really been adapted to children's fairy tale style versions.

168 Welcome to all our new members. So lovely to have you with us. I've been under the weather so I've been a bit absent. I've been meaning to powow with Erin about upcoming reads, but the winter got the better of me. Had a terrible dry spell hear in the mountains which got everyone sick, and new it's pelting which is a bit of a relief, but of course now it's freezing. Blessed be.

Also the name Shakti is believed to have been derived from The Vedic Queen of the Gods Shachi. Just a little by the way trivia.
168 It mightn't be a bad idea for a group read Erin. Someone had suggested a book a while back.

168 Great idea for a thread Erin. There are actually a surprising number of people in our group who don't identify as Wiccan per say, but I'd be curious to hear people's stories, if this thread can draw them out of their shyness. ;)

168 Hi Maryann Welcome to our group. You could start a thread about this question, maybe in general chat or Practical Pagan, and I'll let one of our senior members answer it.

168 Does Wicca preclude working with the Morrigan?

168 How do we define a Wiccan? I was watching a youtube channel and one of the questions raised was what a wiccan actually is. Some people seem to think that there is no such thing as a solitary Wiccan because it's technically an initiatory priesthood, and that self dedication doesn't really count as Wicca. Some people have also said (youtube research here) that Dianic Wicca doesn't really count as Wicca because they revere only the female Godhead, and Wicca is about balance.

Please give your views.
