Here's an update on my Q&A group contest to get some more ratings and reviews on my two 2013 releases, Fatal Descent and A Basket of Trouble. I just need one more review for Fatal Descent to be able to award a prize in the contest!
Thanks, Jean! I'm now in the thick of the Breckenridge Film Festival, enjoying my role as Short Drama lead on the Program Committee.
Hi Catz,I'm flattered by your anticipation, but there won't be a new Claire Hanover gift basket designer mystery release in November. Due to poor sales of the first three books, my publisher and I agreed that there was insufficient justification to continue publishing books in the series. For now, I'm enjoying retired life in Summit County, Colorado, playing outdoors, socializing and traveling.
I'm thrilled with these two new reviews for A Basket of Trouble, the third book in my Claire Hanover gift basket designer mystery series: http://bethgroundwater.blogspot.com/2...
We're almost there on my Q&A group contest. Both of my 2013 releases, Fatal Descent and A Basket of Trouble, have more than 20 ratings. We just need one more review for A Basket of Trouble and 3 more reviews for Fatal Descent to award a prize in the contest. If you've rated or reviewed either book, be sure to tell me here, so I can include you in the list of entrants!
I just discovered that the Kindle version of TO HELL IN A HANDBASKET, the second mystery novel in my Claire Hanover gift basket designer series, is on sale for only $1.99!! (Why doesn't Amazon tell the publishers/authors?!) Pick up your copy today, for less than the price of a cup of coffee!http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009...
The ratings and reviews are inching up for my two 2013 releases: 15 ratings and 7 reviews for A Basket of Trouble and 17 ratings and 7 reviews for Fatal Descent. I'm going to lower the requirement for the number of reviews for both books to 10 for my group contest. So, if you contribute a rating or review to either book, post that information here and that will enter you into the contest. As soon as both books hit 20 ratings and 10 reviews, I'll pick a winner and give him/her an autographed copy of A Basket of Trouble or one of my other books.
We're currently at 10 ratings and 5 reviews for A Basket of Trouble and 16 ratings and 7 reviews for Fatal Descent. We still have a ways to go for me to award a free book in my Q&A group contest, so please keep adding those rankings and reviews, folks!- Beth
Hi everyone,I would like to invite you all to listen in to my interview at John Raab's Suspense Radio program on blogtalkradio this Saturday, November 23rd. I'll be on at 11:00 PST, noon MST, 1:00 PM CST, 2:00 PM EST, following his interview with Kevin Finn and Susan Sloate the hour before.
Go to: http://www.suspensemagazine.com/suspe... to tune in on-line during the show or to listen to it afterward once it gets placed in the archives. I'd love to get some live questions from listeners!
Hi Q&A group members,Back in April, I ran a contest in my Q&A group for members only, asking you to help me meet some Goodreads goals, and I mailed an autographed copy of my June release, Fatal Descent, to the winner of that contest.
I've decided to run another group contest, and this time, the prize will be an autographed copy of A Basket of Trouble, unless the winner already has one and wants one of my other books.
My goal in this contest is to increase the number of Goodreads ratings and reviews for both of my 2013 releases, A BASKET OF TROUBLE and FATAL DESCENT. I would like to get at least 20 ratings and 15 reviews for each of them.
So, to enter the contest, read one or both of the books, then enter a rating and/or review for one or both, then leave a comment here telling me that you did so. Each rating and each review will constitute a separate contest entry, so you can enter up to four times! If you've already rated or reviewed either book, that counts as an entry, too. Just tell me about it.
So, the contest is off and running and will go on until my goals are met. Good luck to you all!
As part of my on-line promotion activities for my November release, A Basket of Trouble, the critically acclaimed third book in my Claire Hanover gift basket designer series, I am visiting Savvy Authors today. I wrote an article about "Engineering A Mystery" which describes all of the essential ingredients for the basic recipe that makes my mysteries a tasty treat for readers. I hope the article will be of interest to both mystery writers and readers. Please take a look at it and leave me a comment to let me know what you think! http://savvyauthors.com/blog/index.ph...
In conjunction with the November 8th release of A BASKET OF TROUBLE, the critically acclaimed third book in my Claire Hanover gift basket designer series, I am visiting some blogs this week. Yesterday, Jessy Randall on the Hey, There's A Dead Guy in the Living Room blog interviewed me. Find out about the worst job I ever had and more!http://heydeadguy.typepad.com/heydead...
Today, my amateur sleuth, gift basket designer Claire Hanover, is visiting Dru Ann Love's blog, Dru's Book Musings, to talk about a stressful day in her life. Both she and I will answer questions from mystery readers there, and Dru Ann is running a contest for a free autographed copy of A BASKET OF TROUBLE, drawing the winner's name from among those who leave a comment. Good luck!

Also, a few days ago, A Date With a Book blog posted a very complimentary and detailed 4-star review of A BASKET OF TROUBLE. I hope you'll go over there and read it!

All this week, I am a Featured Author guest at the Barnes and Noble Booksellers' on-line Mystery Book Club. You can follow the thread about my visit, read all about me and my latest release, A Basket of Trouble, and ask me any question you'd like. Here's the link:http://bookclubs.barnesandnoble.com/t...
I'm looking forward to you reading it, too, Jean, and I'd love to hear what you think of it after you read it.
Okay, everyone, the answer desk is officially open for any questions you have about my November release, A Basket of Trouble, or anything else you'd like to ask me. Please, if you've read the book already, don't post any spoilers here (especially whodunnit) so other readers can still savor the surprises. Ask away!
