BOB!!! Is there anything better than Bob? I think not. Maybe Ranger, but Bob is a close second. Sorry Morelli.
Hi pals. Sorry for the delay in starting this topic! The end of 2020 was real rough for me.Alas, the book is in my lap and I think it might end up being my all time favorite! Here’s the synopsis:
When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.
But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.
Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.
She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested—as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.
Hi! What'd ya'll think about this book? I finally finished it. I've been reading multiple books at a time and my library drops more than one request on me at a time! SPOILER ALERT!
Anyhow, it was fun. Not enough Grandma Mazur though! Although the way it ended tells us that Twisted Twenty-Six is going to be chock full of Grandma hilarity. I liked the deli scenes in this book. Very funny. And I have mixed feelings about Wulf appearing. If he's going to poof in and out, then give us some more sexy!
Oh shit..."How far will Stephanie Plum go to protect the one person who means the most to her? The stakes have never been higher in this latest adventure from #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich.
Grandma Mazur, Stephanie Plum’s favorite family member and occasional partner in crime, has decided to get married again – this time to a local gangster named Jimmy Rosolli. If Stephanie has her doubts about this marriage, she doesn’t have to worry for long, because the groom drops dead of a heart attack 45 minutes after saying, “I do.”
A sad day for Grandma Mazur turns into something far more dangerous when Jimmy’s former “business partners” are convinced that his new widow is keeping the keys to a financial windfall all to herself. But the one thing these wise guys didn’t count on was the widow’s bounty hunter granddaughter, who’ll do anything to save her.
Stephanie Plum has made a career of tracking down bad guys, but this time some of the worst people in all of New Jersey are coming after the most important person in her life – and she’s the only thing standing in their way."
STEPHANIE PLUM FACES THE TOUGHEST PUZZLE OF HER CAREER IN THE TWENTY-FIFTH ENTRY IN JANET EVANOVICH’S #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING SERIES.Nothing’s more Jersey than a good delicatessen. And if you’re visiting Trenton, you can’t do better than the Red River Deli.
The coleslaw’s edible and the oil in the deep fryer gets changed—eventually. It’s a tribute to quality management, but that’s now in jeopardy because the last three managers have vanished. The only clue in each disappearance is one shoe left behind.
Stephanie Plum, Jersey girl and bounty hunter extraordinaire, is stepping into the manager’s shoes…well, shoe. The hottest detective on the force, Stephanie’s boyfriend, Joe Morelli, is running down clues, and the always mysterious Ranger is sticking to Stephanie like pork roll to an egg sandwich.
If Stephanie intends to avoid disappearing and hold on to 100 percent of her footwear, she has to do more than man the potato salad—she needs to find out who took the previous victims. Each disappearance leads to more questions, but with Stephanie and Lula running the deli, the most pressing question remains: How many “l”s in salmonella?"

from Janet's site: There’s nothing like a good deli and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World famous for its pastrami, cole slaw and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, the only clue in each case is one shoe that’s been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it’s a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they’d better figure out what’s going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum. You can pre-order the book or add it to your library list. Got my book for Christmas! On page 60 and loving it. So funny. This is my fav quote so far “If I wore rubber boots up to my pussy I still wouldn’t go look in that double-wide.” - Lula
This is the longest I’ve ever gone without obtaining a new Plum series book! Who am I? What is wrong with me? Now it’s been so long I’m putting it on my Christmas list. And there’s Diesel in the book!? How can I wait till the 25th for that level of hotness!?
