"Those are some talents! My singing seems lousy now! What about you Skylar? Do you have a talent?" Suddenly Daniella had so much in common with the students in front of her. ((Super sorry! I have to go but I am happy to continue later, (it's midnight in England) I'll carry on in the morning ;) ))
"Nice! Usually all the Slytherin girls do is criticize the outfits of other students when we go to Hogsmeade. Do any of you play an instrument?" Dani asked trying to find common ground. She was really beginning to like hanging around with the Hufflepuffs as she could tell what they thought of her and she didn't have to try and be anything that she wasn't just to make them like her.
"Hi, I'm pure blood! I mean Dani! Sorry, old habits die hard... So, what do you guys do for fun?" She felt her cheeks go pink before tapping her fingers against her leg as if playing a piano; a nervous tick she had developed. She searched the faces of Skylar's friends, only to find smiles and kind looks.
Dani's face lit up at the thought of hanging out with new people who wouldn't judge her as harshly as some Slytherins did. "I'd love that! Are you sure your friends would want to be associated with me though? Seeing as I am a Slytherin and not a particularly popular one at that?"
"My brother and his Fiancé are both Gryffindors and well... My house still dislikes Gryffindor a bit." Daniella came from a long line of pure blooded Slytherins, however her parents and brother had been the first Gryffindors making it incredibly difficult to be in the right house. Gryffindor would upset her Grandparents, Slytherins would make her feel isolated from her parents and brother, Ravenclaws were too smart and she was no where near kind enough to be a Hufflepuff in her eyes.
Dani sighed with relief. Slytherins stereotypes had hung around in the shadows of hogwarts ever since the war in hey eyes but this girl was willing to surpass them and help Dani nevertheless. "She's 21 and they've been together fifth year so I guess they're a pretty steady couple... They were Gryffindor Head Boy and Girl together too so they must be sensible. Thank you for listening... I was getting so worked up about it, no one in my house wanted to know."

Dani nodded. "Yes. No. Well yes but it's not bad. At least I don't think it is. My brother is pregnant. Well not my brother but his fiancé... Is that bad? I don't know! Sorry, you probably don't care..." She looked down at her black shoes, wiggling her toes nervously.
Daniella waited by the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room. She needed to speak to Skylar, or anyone who was willing to listen. As a Slytherin, she didn't have a large amount of friends in different houses but Hufflepuff house always seemed like the obvious option if she was ever in need of a shoulder to cry on.
"Sure. I'll meet you guy there in a bit. I'm gonna go and get changed first though." She looked down at her coat knowing that she was only wearing her sleepwear underneath. "See you guys in a bit!" She watched Skylar blush and winked at her slyly.
She smiled at Skylar. "Sounds good to me. Hey, Alex... Are you okay?" She watched the boy look around for something.
Ali looked up from the floor. She wasn't usually this nervous but she hadn't eaten and she was tired. "We don't let any old riffraff on our team! Not that the other teams do... You guys are great!" Sniffed quietly for the cold air.
Ali blushed. She recognised the boy from one of her last quidditch matches against Gryffindor. She had accidentally hit him with the quaffle. "Slytherin Chaser..." She mumbled quietly.
After a while she decided to try and make a friend in a different house. "Come on Ali!" She whispered to herself before smiling brightly and walking over to them. She outstretched her arm and tried to seem confident . "I'm Ali, I play quidditch!" Suddenly she went bright red realising how stupid she sounded.
From the doorway, Daniella watched as they steadied the bird and attached the letter. She decided to write a short letter to her father, including only the vital information saying that she was still alive. She managed to give it to a white bird who flew off instantly. Sighing with relief Daniella pondered whether to talk to the two students on the other side of the owlery. The girl was in some of her classes after all.
