the bookfreak wrote: "it sounds like a combination of red queen and an ember in the ashes something like that?? or is it diffrent??"Especially the first 2 books are very different because the main characters don't have superpowers. In the story all the people who have powers become more and more evil by using them so the world is ruled by a bunch of psychopaths with powers :)

Yeah I really liked it. But it's the last book in the triology

I voted for calamity in the Young Adult section and The paper menagerie in the fantasy section.

what book did you vote on?

Nice! what did you think about
(view spoiler)[ Elias execution, I really thought he was going to die so it was a nice twist (hide spoiler)] I;m also curious if Keenan will be back.

You are not the only one...
Just finished it! I think i would rate it with 4.5 stars. In the middle of the story you just can't stop.

So I found out how you can use a spoiler tag so you can discuss stuff without spoiling it for the other people. Just use this:
<spoiler> some random text </spoiler>
It will look like this:
(view spoiler)[ just some text (hide spoiler)]

I'm gonna shut up now, I d..."It will be fun if we have all read it so we can speak freely. I think I will finish it on Tuesday. Unfortunately it's only 385 pages :(
Have the other people already started?
Nina wrote: "Just wanted to let you know, I'm done with the book" Wow that's fast. Yesterday you read 50%. How was it? I saw you rated it with 5 stars? I'm in the middle of the second trial.

I feel like even though it has some similarities to other books there's something original about the story. I, too, like the characters :)
You were really quick if you're already past P..."I do a lot of babysitting so as soon as the children are at bed I just read non stop for 5 hours. : ) So last few hours I just get paid to read. Yeah I agree with you about the feeling there is something original about it.

So I just finished part 1 one of the book and so far I like it. There are some things very similar to books I've read before but I like the writing and the characters and I'm curious how the two storylines are going to meet. How far are you Nina? And have the other people already started?
Nina wrote: "Yup"Yeah me to, way easier and less expensive.
Nina wrote: "I really like it so far. But I can't help comparing it to Sacrificed by Emily Wibberley.
I'm curious how you're gonna find the book. The writing flows quite nicely so far :)"Nice, do you download your books?

i will start tonight or tomorrow. First have to finish the book I'm reading now. Do you like the book?

So post your progress, thoughts and opinions while reading this book but don't spoil something for the people who aren't as far as you. Have fun reading!
the bookfreak wrote: "i saw the film:/"The book is way better.
the bookfreak wrote: "for how long?? one month??"Fine with me, but maybe I will finish it earlier. I read way to much.

I think the 4 that voted now are the most active people. Shall we wait another day and then start the read along? If someone does rather not read An ember in the ashes it's fine with me to since all the other books seem fun to but otherwise i think an ember in the ashes has the most votes?

Did someone read the bookthief? I think it is in my top 5 now, it was really amazing. If you ever need to read a book for school you should read it! :)

The Netherlands aren't exactly famous for it's castles. We have a few but not as many big manors and castles as in England. I really liked that about England to, especially the country side. We have a few beautiful cities and places and the dunes near the sea are nice but overall the Netherlands is flat with a lot of farmland. Amsterdam and Haarlem are my favorite cities but you shouldn't come here for all the castles :). How is Vienna? what are the highlights of the city?
