((will be reply to this, hopefully, today! This one is third on my long list of 'need to reply to's' list!))
So the request for a college, do we want to break it into pieces and make a thread for the college? Or go super broad and do one thread for the college and expand if needed?
There was no stench of blood, no mangled bodies hanging from the ceiling or decorating the walls. This nest, this home, it was above the filthy ways of the wilder of the vampire species. House 1143, as it was dubbed by the vampire kind who knew of it, was typically a place where an invitation was needed. If you didn’t know somebody who knew somebody to get themselves in, then you were probably not going to be welcomed with open arms. You’d be allowed in, of course, because the owners were very kind, but you would be on a very tight leash and not have access to any of the finer activities available to the actual guests until you impress someone.
Dexter had gotten his invite a seven decades back, now, and this was his first return since the last time he’d made his way to New Orleans twenty or so years ago. It wasn’t often he himself extended an invite House 1143, but that poor, doe eyed, self-hating newborn near the waterfall, she needed help. There was bound to be someone who wanted to do some charity work. They liked their toys and pets in this place, and a newborn could be just the thing someone was dying for but didn’t want to make themselves. If he got lucky, he could pawn her off on someone after getting more info on her sister and the vamp who turned them both. She needed someone who would be highly attentive and uplifting; she defiantly didn’t need someone like him. He was hardly either of those things nowadays unless there was a reason behind it. He didn’t have a reason to be kind to this baby vamp, but he would at least extend the first generosity she had probably had since she had turned.
He waited inside the home, making small talk with old ‘friends’, occasionally glancing around to see if any new faces had arrived, one that was just familiar. She may not even show. But still, he’d wait for a while.
I'm currently waiting on @bella in hex with my witch character. I haven't heard back from her via pm, so if someone wants to jump into the club with me, I'm down for that! we can make it into a three way rp if/when she jumps back on, or write one out, either way!

big and beautiful, on the corner of braxton and welch, house 1143 stands. with a mix of modern and victorian style, the place looks the part of either era and often draws the eyes of tourist, the owners even offering a tour of their lovely, historical a few oh so lucky people. the lovely decor and fancy visitors are often the last thing these 'lucky' few end up seeing in their humanly life. the place is as alluring, deceiving, and dangerous as those who regular the home. vampires, home 1143 is owned and kept up and going by vampires. it has become a nest, of sorts, where their kind can come to find both willing and not so willing sources of food to their very specific diet. they have managed to draw no attraction to their doings from the outside world, and they plan to keep it as such.
((Hit a crap week as far as getting to write went :/. Made like three posts total to other rp replies lol. Yours was next on the list, actually! Gonna make the thread real quick first :). Thanks for being patient with me!))
@metaboo, yup! We can make one. If Shay doesnt get to it before me, I'll try and get it up tonight or tomorrow after i get off work. You can request threada here, btw :D. Helps us keep up with them easier if they are requested for in a thread dedicated for them :)
Magic, the world would be nothing without it. It was such a powerful thing, this unseen power that some select few have the ability to wield, that if it were ever exposed to the eyes of humans, the absolute normal, everything could collapse. They were fragile little things; the smallest upset in the reality they created for themselves would cause everything they believed to crash and burn. And when humans’ worlds started to cave in on themselves, they resorted to violence and irrationality. Take the Salem Witch Trails, for instance. They’d gotten a glimpse of magic, the humans did, it terrified them, so they rounded up every person they suspected as a witch and destroyed them with fire or hanged and drown them.
That’s why Ametrine had taken extra precaution within her club to make sure the little humans didn’t walk out with more than they could handle. How had she done this, one might ask? Magic, of course. Any human who walked in could experience doses of the magical vibe of Hex, but as soon as they walked out the doors, the memories were warped, fuzzed over ensure they remembered no details of the actual magical elements they may have got a glimpse of. They’d remember the fantastic time they had, and the impression they’d be left with of Hex was that it was a wild club where the impossible seemed real, but that was it. No magic. No supernaturals. Nothing that could rattle the poor little creatures around too much.
Now, each supernatural who came in and out of her club, they’d leave with the exact memories of what happened. They were big kids already within the veil; they could handle any and everything. Each inch of Hex had some sort of quirk to it that tied to Ametrine’s roots, be it her magical side or her tech love. She took everything she knew and tied it all together to create this place. From the drinks brewed by the witch herself as well as the few other witches she had on staff to the cameras and sensors she’d built from scratch and laced with magic, each aspect was carefully thought through and executed.
So when the lights around the bar transitioned from a light white to red for a moment, Ame knew that a vampire had just walked through the doors. Had it been another supernatural, the color would have varied. The young woman knew each species that stepped into her club, allow her to keep a close handle on things. Her eyes veered from the drink she was pouring to the door to catch the face of the fangs that were coming into Hex. A redheaded girl, one who walked with plenty of confidence and didn’t seem on edge from being around all the humans pumping with blood, so she was not a newly turned. But that hardly meant she wasn’t one that needed to be watched. All supernaturals needed to be kept a close eye on.
Personally I vote for an approach where angels came before humans, and maybe ever time an angel dies, a human 'worthy' of wings gains them and becomes an angel, sorta allowing for the both of both worlds approach. Archs would have came before everyone, followed by the original angels, humans, demons and then the humans who gain wings after the fall of angels. But this is just my vote.
Shay, it's your group, so I'm down for whatever you wanna do :).
It looks like we've lost Mimi from the group. For those of you with collabs with her character(s), I'm sorry :(
((@Gatbsy it looks like Mimi has left the group...? Idk why, but whatever. Soo...if you want to kill two birds with one stone (getting Lucifer free from this rp and getting rid of the only character Mimi had created, you can have Lucy kill Vanessa. It'd be entertaining for me--and hopeful you. Get to tap into that dark side of Lucifer without any drawback. If you don't wanna kill her, I'll find a way to do it in one of my posts XD))
@chiara, like the templates and crap? My advice...don't worry with it when you first start out on goodreads. That's something to play with overtime and what not. It takes up so much time and can be so frustrating that it turns you off towards your characters and writing. I'd dive right into making a character. Start where you think is important. Their species and face would be my first step, followed by name and age. Then I'd start to play with their history and their personality, usually bouncing between the both to make them fit well together. Then the tidbits to add in to the profile are last, for me. But you don't have to do it this way! That's the beautiful of being a writer/creator. You can do whatever you want XD.
If I read right, you're going with the approach that angels were once human rather than angels were created first, and then humans were created, and when they died, they went to either 'their personal heaven' or to hell where they eventually pop out a demon?
((gonna create a thread for this 'alley' for us to transition to to have the diner free up for anyone who may want a food place to go to :D. Might not be till tomorrow or something like that to post for us. Hope that's okay, both the moving to a diff thread and the delay?))End scene in this location
((do you guys need a restaurant made? I'm not sure if there's any open but bars? I can probably create another thread for my rp with Onyx to go so that we dont' take up the diner since it's sorta shifted from there, though XD))
