I heard Jim Butcher mention he'd like to write a Goodman Grey book, which would be very cool. Elaine would be a cool change up to Dresden.

I've heard a few ideas. Which character would you like a book or a novella to be the POV?

Behind may have thought harry was too weak and thought he'd go down quick.

well justin summoned behind. all he did was attack harry seemingly without a plan or anything. A 16 year old harry somehow survived. Bn the other hand beside was in justine for seven years without thomas, Lara or harry knowing.

Oh just thought of how Ebenezar could die and let me know what you think. What if he died saving Thomas. Putting way his hatred of Vampires in that moment to save the grandson he never had a chance to know.

Not sure about that. If harry finds a way to exorcise he who walks beside. Won't he be fighting something on par with behind? Let's assume behind is a blunt instrument and besides is a shadow hitter. Nemesis is endgame but besides not sure we wouldn't get him in the next book.

Elaine might be Kaori, so that would put a damper on that.

Hmmm, who sees Ebenezer dying and Harry taking the black staff back to the winter mother at some point.

Ebenezar, mostly taught Harry values. Which turned out to be kinda a lie. Everything he taught Harry about Magic he was doing the opposite as the blackstaff. His world view is too rigid. That's part of the reason the council will fall soon. Even with Luccio having the new body she's just as rigid.
Elaine being independent is better equipped to navigate the modern world. In my opinion.

If we have a Dresden and Thomas book which I'm assuming they follow on a lead to find Justine. I don't see anything on par with Eithniu confronting them. I could see an outsider, He who walks beside or a rematch with him who walks behind. Having Harry face his past would be a call back to ghost story.

Ok, so in Cold days bob mentioned things can change on Halloween. Not only Immortals becoming mortals. I think it was also hinting at changing things. I don't think Harry and Molly will stay as Winter Knight and Lady. At some point, they will and a way to remove the mantles.

Luccio is what 200 how does she relate with Maggie. She even told Dresden how she failed Morgan. She might find it easier with a woman but I think she's far too distant for that.

Ok, so Ebenezer got his hip shattered. Joe got the Batman treatment from bane. Christos after re-reading he did get burned.
That's even more messed up they remove Dresden easily a top 10-20 powerful and efficient wizard. After losing 1 senior council member and having 2 critically wounded.

Thinking it over for a bit. How did Jim handle the escalation after Changes? He brought things back down to ground level with Ghost Story. With the title Mirror Mirror I see a book centered around Harry and Thomas. keeping pressure not in a power escalation sense but in emotion.

Well, first Maggie is a year away from getting a stepmother. Will she have any contact with Lara? Is it a good idea to have an impressionable Maggie close to a succubus vampire nope, but if you look at Maggie following in harry's shoes becoming a wizard and treading a world of grays. Building a prior relationship with one of the most powerful women in the country would be a great start similar to Harry's relationship with Lea.

Ok, so with the white Council disavowing Harry. Who will train Maggie when she awakens her magic? My Pick was always Yoshiro. Harry always respected her, she's female and younger than Luccio. That can't happen anymore since she's dead.
Ramirez and Luccio are out because of the Council.
Molly is too engrained as a fae. Dresden wouldn't want Maggie to share the fate of Molly in Cold Days.
Harry's out cause it's his daughter.
It Leaves only one viable option. Elaine Mallory is the only person whose independent from the council.
Share your thoughts on who should train Maggie and how her and Lara will interact not at all or at arms reach.

I thought the black staff being winter mother's was already confirmed. it would seem ebenezer is able to pull out dark magic and if he's holding the black staff he takes zero backlash for it corrupting him. I'm assuming he over used it and her shadow showed up.

she just saw two count em two fairy ladies die. Is justine who I'm pretty sure stopped working for the Lara that important to take a shot at Man.
