While I was away in Norfolk, I read Zoo Station and Dark Echo, both of which I really enjoyed. Now I'm about 2/3rds the way through The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, which I love!
Stephen wrote: "there is an interview in mail on sunday with rachel joyce very interesting and apaprently its fav to win booker"The library came up with the book for me just before we went on holiday - am now just over half way through. Very good book - I'm loving it!

Thank you for the info - always useful to know these things:)
Since I wrote that post, the library has got a copy, so it's been requested. I think there's a bit of a waiting list though. Just as well, I suppose, as have got lots on the go at the moment!
Booksdingle wrote: "I didn't find the time changes too bad which is amazing cos usually that really irriates me. I liked the story though so overlooked the faults I guess"I think it might have been better if I'd read it in paperback, rather than kindle, then I could have easily flipped back and forth. I don't mind two time changes, but just felt a bit swamped....maybe I'm getting past it:)
Finished Jubilee this morning, but I felt a bit disappointed. For me, there was too much chopping and changing of the time phases. Interested enough to want to know what happened, but was a bit confused at times!
Finished 84, Charing Cross Road - excellent little book - and have added Hannah's Gift by Thomas Eidson to the currently reading list!
Stephen wrote: "thats what also stops people stealing books too as if its not put on the de activate pad would get alarms off too but read that white label so knows what the book is as well when it comes to take i..."That's what happens in Luton libraries too. Seems to be working ok.
Now reading Jubilee(kindle), Sisters Red (borrowed from a friend) ,84, Charing Cross Road(library book) and City of Redemption and Misadventures Of Fatwoman on my laptop.
Still reading the Anne Rice and Bill Bryson books, but have also started
, as part of a genre challenge for another group. On my kindle, I'm reading
byKB Walker. Enjoying them all!
Stephen wrote: "Angela wrote: "I'm reading Interview With the Vampire and At Home: A Short History of Private Life at the moment, as well as Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime and the Lunatic Asylum on my new Kin..."That's a good idea! I'll have to look into that:)
I'm reading Interview With the Vampire and At Home: A Short History of Private Life at the moment, as well as Broadmoor Revealed: Victorian Crime and the Lunatic Asylum on my new Kindle!! (Birthday present from hubbie, who hopes it will stop me buying paper books....we'll see!!)
At the moment, I'm still reading
, which I love. Great if you're a cricket fan and also like David Lloyd's sense of humour - which I do!I've also started
, at last. Really liking it - I'm a big western fan! I'm reading a book about Victorian Broadmoor on my laptop and think I'll make a start on the latest William Boyd.
The weather forecast isn't good - rain, chilly - but if we all take the right clothes, we should be OK!
