She was relived that her services were unnecessary. "Good." That wouldn't be too much of a problem, considering their powers and such. She let out a sigh that gradually shifted into a yawn.
Mari looked nervously at Noel, and then looked at the boys. "I think I can check. I might not be able to wake up for a while, though. Can either of your carry a 100- something pound girl to her dorm room?" she asked, her voice hesitant and her hand slowly leaving Electro's arm.
Mariola looked around, her eyes wide and blinking at the blackness. "It's dark. Dark, dark, dark. Daaaaaaaaaark." she enunciated slowly. "I don't like it. Can we hurry?" She squeezed Electro's arm, looking up at him expectantly. Her eyes were still a little glazed over, and there were purple shadows beneath them, but she was obviously more attentive than before.
((Oh sweet troll jegus. I haven't been on goodreads for what seems like effing years. Hi huys! This was always one of my favorite rp's!))
((@ Ev. It's nice to see another Cankinist out there, though I consider myself a tad bit more Darwin-esque. ;) If I'm assuming correctly that the topic of Cankers and Darwinists relates back to Leviathan.))
Bobbie wrote: "Electro smiled. "Just start walking whenever you feel ready.""Mariola nodded, taking a few tentative steps forward. When she got her balance, she lessened her hold on Electro's arm. "thanks again... for saving me. I don't usually damsel like this."
She nodded, shuddering at the odd sensation that touching him gave off. She clutched his arm, relying on him heavily. "I need to get my land legs back." She murmured.
((AAAAAWWWWWW YEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!))Mariola meekly shook her head. "Just give me a minute." She muttered into his shoulder. She gathered her thoughts. My name is Mariola. I am fourteen. I'm in the eighth grade at Edgeview. I can project my imagination into the real world. My father... she shook her head to clear it. Saffy, Joey, Jade, Electro. ELECTRO! She opened her eyes, lightning suddenly flashing in her blood. "I'm ready to go."
Bobbie wrote: ""Don't worry, Mari. I'm not going anywhere. I'm not going to leave you. We'll get back to school and everything will be okay..." Electro kept up a stream of talking, not even paying attention to wh..."Mariola focused on the sound of Electro's voice, but couldn't discern a word he said. "Thanks a lot." She whispered, wrapping her newly freed arms around his neck. She planted a soft kiss on his cheek, closing her weary eyes.
Mariola flinched and lashed out, her hand restrained by the velcro lashes. Her eyes unfogged for a second, long enough for her to see him. He was enough reason for her to try to stay in control of herself. She needed some reality to hold onto. "Electro." She whimpered. "Get me out of here. Don't let them get to me again. I can't get away." The words jumbled together. "I need you to talk to me. Just keep up a continual banter. They're trying to get in my head. I can't go back to the darkness." Now that the fog was gone, she fought to think of the things that were real. "Saffy. Jade. Joey. Noel." She repeated those names over and over again, eyes going blank.((I forgot that we had planned a romance for them. >:P devious. ;P))
Bobbie wrote: ""I don't know," Joey said, keeping his voice low. "We split up to find you all." He helped steady Saffy and let her lean on him.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mariola!" Electro gasped. He ran to he..."
Mariola heard her name through the fog. She knew the voice. She wanted to see who this voice belonged to, but her eyes were nailed shut. Maybe if she just tried to open them. She felt her eyelids slide open, but all she could see was darkness. "It will never end." She rasped. Could she never open her eyes? No. They were nailed shut, Just like her lips were sewn shut. Just like nothing had happened when she tried to respond. Just like no sound had escaped her lips. Just like no movement had graced her eyes. Just like the darkness was chocking her. It would never end.
((I feel like I just need to re read, like, everything we've written and marvel in the awesomeness.))
((Mariola... ever the crazy one.))Mariola turned as though she had heard her name coming from the hall. No. No one would come for her. She was damned. Her parents had said so, her pastor had said so. Hell, now even she was convinced. She just stared at the ceiling, wishing it would all come down on her and end this nightmare. She felt her self slipping again. Trying to star conscious was like fighting a losing battle with a elephant sitting on your chest. She closed her eyes and let herself lose.
((That could work, or you could break a skylight. I think you're catching my obsession. I guess I'll break a skylight later on. Sigh.))
((SKYLIGHT! SKYLIGHT! SKYLIGHT! Or, if the door is electrically airlock powered, or has metal bolts, tumblers, locks, and/or booby traps; Electro could electrically/magnetically unlock things.))
((I think you should go in by door, because the windows are probably barred. Or you could break a skylight!))
