416618 #61 Dust (Silo, #3) by Hugh Howey Great conclusion to the series.
Some of the typical ending, and a few loose ends, but nothing I can't live with. 4.5/5

416618 #60 Talking as Fast as I Can From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between) by Lauren Graham 3/5

416618 #59 Shift (Shift, #1-3; Silo, #2) by Hugh Howey Glad my friend told me this was a series and even happier he bookstore had both when I went there. This is the second book and takes a step back in time to explain things. Once I got used to the timeline jumps it was easier to follow. 4/5

416618 #58 Queen Sugar by Natalie Baszile 3/5

416618 #57 A Game of Thrones A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin The plan was to finish the series this summer. Well, at least I got one finished... 4/5

416618 #56 The Night Parade by Ronald Malfi The Night Parade I like Malfi's writing style, but this just didn't pull me in. 3/5

416618 #55 Counting Backwards A Doctor's Notes on Anesthesia by Henry Jay Przybylo Counting Backwards: A Doctor's Notes on Anesthesia Short and surface skimm8ng book about anesthesia's history and one doctor's experiences. Not the book to read if you're looking for something in depth. 3/5

416618 #53 Balm by Dolen Perkins-Valdez Balm Slow pacing made it difficult for me to stay interested. Almost like 3 different stories happening at once, so the lack of cohesion didn't help my flagging attention. 2/5

416618 #52 Snowblind Snowblind (Dark Iceland #1) by Ragnar Jónasson Slow build up to a faster end. Also, multiple POV, some only seen once, and a few that made me wonder why they were even necessary. 3/5

416618 #51 Iron Gold (Red Rising, #4) by Pierce Brown Iron Gold Not really a continuation because of new characters, but not really a new start because of the amount of time spent on characters from the original series. 4/5

416618 #50 Grief Cottage Grief Cottage by Gail Godwin My favorite characters were Lachicotte and Mrs. Upchurch. Unfortunately, the book wasn't about them. Thought the mystery of the ghost boy had just the right smidge of dread. 3/5

416618 #49 She Rides Shotgun by Jordan Harper She Rides Shotgun So fun reading a book about an area I'm familiar with. Never seen Slabtown, but I'm sure its around here somewhere. Some of Polly's character development veered into the unbelievable for me, and more violent than I was in the mood to process. 3.5/5

416618 #48 Goodbye for Now Goodbye for Now by Laurie Frankel Great premise, but something happened in the middle after the required plot twist. Things just got slow. Honestly, I almost quit reading after the twist cos it seemed like that could be the end of the book; I knew what would happen after. I didn't *not* enjoy the book, but it just fell too far into the "predictable" column. 2.5/5

416618 #46 Victoria & Abdul (Movie Tie-In): The True Story of the Queen's Closest Confidant Victoria & Abdul (Movie Tie-In) The True Story of the Queen's Closest Confidant by Shrabani Basu Well researched if a bit dry in places. There is a disconnect between the man so important to the queen and the man intensely disliked by others on her staff. The difference in perception isn't fully explored. 3/5

416618 #43 Dark Currents (Agent of Hel, #1) by Jacqueline Carey Dark Currents Fun, supernatural fantasy/mystery with only the beginnings of a love quadrangle so not too distracting from the main story. Since it's an older series, of course my library doesnt have the next two books. Figures. 4/5

416618 #42 My Real Children My Real Children by Jo Walton While in a nursing home, Pat/Trish remembers two distinct lives. Because of her Alzheimers, she doesn't know which is true. Interesting reading about the alternate histories for each timeline, but I was supremely underwhelmed by the ending. 3/5

416618 #41 Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe, #2) by Neal Shusterman Thunderhead Kept me reading well past my bedtime. And holy crap... that cliffhanger! I love and hate the author right now. A very rare ( for me) 5/5.
