I feel the same way. I just finished the first chapter. A lot of action for the first chapter. Interested to see what happens next.

I just hope Ivy isn't the whiny type of teenager. I just finished another book with a character like that and she started to get on my nerves after a while.

417101 The Swiftie Book Club, SwiftReads, started as an idea on TSL. Everyone is welcome to join. Please be kind and mindful of everyone. We have all ages and skill levels in this group, but since we have a bit of an older crowd, we read YA and Adult books.

We do not have an official theme. We will try to read books related to Taylor if we can.

We read the month's book at our own pace.

While you read or finish reading any book, you are welcome to start any discussions in the respected folder for the month's book. Please put a warning in the title for any possible spoilers.

Usually, we will have a poll for the next book every month.

Thanks y'all! If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

In the discussion folder for the book, you are welcome to start new discussions for whatever chapters you may have finished or started. Any spoilers need to have warning in the title.

417101 Gabby wrote: "Are the books for this group supposed to fall under a certain theme? Like fame? Or mentions in TS songs?"

We don't have official theme. I'd like to do Taylor themed ish books. We did Great Gatsby.

We will usually have polls for books. Where anyone can suggust anything and we can vote on it. That is what we did for the Great Gatsby and the last book we did All the Light We Cannot See was the runner up from the first poll.

I'll start the poll for next month soon.

417101 Hey sorry to be MIA again. I didn't get a chance to read March's book.

The whole law school process and work has had me all over the place. But I really need to get back into the groove of reading.

So I don't think we have enough time to do a poll but I was explore for books here on GoodReads what do you think of this book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

If y'all have other suggestions please drop a comment. I am up for anything. I just want to pick a book as soon as possible. Thanks.

417101 Sorry I have been a little MIA. I have been applying for law schools and just took my LSAT last month...

But since it is already March and I did not have time to do another poll for books I decided just to use the book that came in second in our last poll for our March book! We will be reading All the Light We Cannot See. And will have until the end of the month.

Please feel free continue to have discussions on the Great Gatsby.

Thanks!

417101 Yes, we still have until the end of February. I just got done reading an 800-page book, I think that is why I flew through Great.

It was my first time reading a Gatsby adaption too. I noticed that too. It still had me wondering, however, how everything was going to play out in the end and how the author was going to build up to certain parts.

Anyone else reading or finished it? Any thoughts?
Let's Try This (3 new)

417101 The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Sorry, I've been a little MIA, but let's try this. Anyone can start a forum discussion in this folder over The Great Gatsby and any of the adaptions. I know everyone is reading at their own pace. But if you think of any great convos or questions while reading go ahead and start something in this folder.

If anyone has a book copy with discussion questions in the back, please post a few in this folder.

Just in the title of each discussion please list a chapter(s) the discussion applies to so no one accidentally reads any spoilers!

We are learning as we go this first book! Thanks!

I think we all read at our own pace. And I'll make themed related questions and discussions. We can just title them chapter 1-5 related question themes or something so that way those who haven't gotten past a certain point will know not to open.

I think I am going to need people create questions and discussions. Just to be mind full of others. Anyone can start a discussion on our group.

I think that method might work best for us. If it doesn't we can adjust.

I was thinking our own pace this first go around. And then maybe trying to implement some structure the next go. And I think I might ask some general questions and put spoiler in the title for discussions. I know a lot of us have read this book so some of the spoilers are already out there.
