So, my health declined a bit in August, which led to depression in September. My health has stabilized this month, but I still haven't regained my reading mojo, so I'm allowing myself to take a break and reset for the new year. I know October is a bit early to call it quits for 2025, but if I permit myself not to stress about it, I'll recover faster.

Thank you all very much! (((HUGS)))
Project Hail Mary was really enjoyable! I didn't know there was a movie in the making! Andy Weir has become a favorite author.
Due to health issues, primarily anxiety and hypertension, my reading in June was quite minimal, and July seems to be following the same trend—if not worse. I only managed to finish five titles last month. I had hoped to catch up this month, but with only two titles read so far, I don’t see that happening realistically.
Christa wrote: "I feel like many of us have been saying some variation of this since we first started this thing. :D Reading sometimes feels like a living thing that we only barely control, like an unending stream of universes that we have the privilege of dipping into, but it's sometimes futile to fight the current."^ So perfectly said! lol
The Dark Tower is interesting - I'd recommend it.
I love the concept behind InCryptid. I'm reading Antimony's arc now - and she's my least favorite of the siblings (Snotty younger sibling), but I'm still enjoying the series.
April & MayI read seven books in April and eight books in May.
The Pros - I completed the Species Imperative trilogy, which had been sitting on my bookshelf for a long time! It was a bit long-winded, but enjoyable enough.
I am continuing to read the following series: The Dark Tower, Fred, the Vampire Accountant, The Hollows, and InCryptid. And I started a new one by Lois McMaster Bujold, called The Sharing Knife.
The Cons: A few series have fallen by the wayside for now, and reading my bookshelf is going much slower than I intended. But I enjoy buddy reading, and one of these days, I'll learn to pace myself more realistically.
I hope everyone enjoys many GoodReads!
I can not believe March is already over! About halfway through, I realized that I never did a month-end review for February.February
While I did not read as many titles as in January, it was still a good month, with 14 titles read. Best of all, I completed three physical copies and 2 KU titles that have been sitting there for a while.
March
This month hasn't been quite as successful as the previous two. I'm finishing with nine titles, only 2 of which came from my bookshelf (and none from KU).. I did include 2 ComiXology titles that caught my attention, but I will not continue with either series. However, if you like wine (and want to learn more about it via a siblining-rivalary type of competition), check out Drops of God, Vol. 1; it's interesting, just not for me. I may try to get another manga under my belt tomorrow, but I have not decided as yet.

Wait, we're supposed to do monthly updates? I didn't sign up for that!

LOL! No monthly reviews are required, but they are always appreciated.
Thank you, HiMS!

Nope. I've not read it either.
I'm glad you were able to enjoy all of the books.I'm so sorry your mom was sick again. I hope she recovers completely.
Bianca wrote: "Wow, good going!I've managed four books in January, despite going on vacation for a week, when I normally read a lot. But my focus has been shifting to cross stitch again. And I simply don't know..."
A book a week is a great start! It could be that you need a reading break. Something will spark your interest.
In the meantime, enjoy the cross-stitching! I tried it a few months ago and realized I had trouble seeing what I was doing.
My daughter gifted me a magnifying light last week, so I hope to start learning again soon.
Its February!I had a strong start to the year reading-wise, completing 20 titles in January, including three of the five Stormlight Archive novels (all over 1200 pages each). I can't believe we must wait six years for the series' second arc to be published. I'm probably going to have to reread the first arc.
I only have 10 planned reads for February (two of which I started early and finished yesterday and today). Seven titles are buddy reads, including the one I completed this morning. So, I hope to delve into more books from my bookshelf and tbr.
I hope you all have been able to enjoy your chosen hobbies this past month.
