43297 Well if its just insulting, then 90 percent of the time the bully is sure the person they are insulting wont fight back, or say anything. They probably want them to at least say somehting back to them though, cause then it gives them more of a reason to continue bullying them. the 10 percent of the time that fights do happen, the bully is sure there is a teacher around, or SOMEONE that would get a teacher if a fight happened. So in the end, someone could get a little hurt like a busted lip and bloodied nose, or a swollen eye, whatever it happens to be, the bully doestn actually go for a kill. Obviously. but still it causes a scene in which they think they can control. there fore gaining attention, bad or good attention is still attention.

43297 There is just no way to win. Is there not a way to NOT cause a scene, but yet get them to stop?

43297 *sigh* even then. your causing a scene, whether the bully gets in trouble or not, its still what they want, maybe not so much anymore now that they are the ones getting in trouble, but still a scene happens.

43297 "Thirsty much?" he chuckles. as they sit on the couch. He didnt really know what to say or do right now. He hadnt moved in completely yet, and he definitely did not expect company. "So.." he says trying to think of something to talk about, or even do.

43297 "Alrighty then, water it is" he grabs a water and hands it to her while grabbing a root beer for himself. "I dont really feel like doing much right now, kinda wanna be lazy, so what do you say to go and sitting on the couch? or would you like a tour?"

43297 see, now staying outta of it, Does that make you a bad person because you didnt stand up for the person that was being insulted? No, but theres a perfect example. No one really wants to get involved, and because of that, the "bully" can keep doing whatever it is that there doing to the other person. No one says anything to them, or even tries. Its human nature though, we dont want ourselves put into a situation to where we are the ones that everyone is waiting for a response from. We'd rather watch. and even if we feel bad about it, we watch, we listen, and it even entertains us.

43297 He wrapped his hand around hers and lead her to the door, he reached into his pocket with his other hand and unlocked the door. As they walk into the living room, which has a dark blue sofa and love seat in the right corner and a Big screen TV that still looks dusty in the left corner. There was a black table in front of the Sofa and some wolf knick knacks here and there. A remaking of Excalibur was above the TV on the wall. "I kinda collect wolf things, along with some random display weapons." he said as they walked through to the kitchen.
"so what would you like to drink?" he asks, "I've got bottled water, Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Root Beer, Milk, and Orange Juice in here"

43297 it happens, and even the good guys, the people who are usually nice, just stand by and let it happen. Why? cause the dont want to get involved. Even if they did, it causes a bigger scene, so whether you think about it or not, you can ignore the people ot a point, but if someone does decide to step in and 'help' you. Then you might as well have reacted yourself.

43297 "yeah, i just bought the place, im not rich or anything, but i have money to get by one." he looks at her smiling and gets out to walk around to open her door for her.
"why dont we go inside and ill get us something to drink?" he asked her

43297 Thats kinda of another thing. If you ignore it once, they will do it again later. the whole if you ignore it they wont do it anymore thing, rarely actually works. It will get worse and eventually you will react. Especially if your in high school and your walking down the hall and someone tries to start something with you, what do you do? Ignore it when everyone around is watching you to see what you do? Peer Pressure. Its one helleva tool.

43297 He sighed some, "it's been an interesting first day here" He said.

A few minutes later they came upon his house, it was a small but cozy looking place with a mover's van out front.

43297 Even then the people that get insulted are usually low self esteemed people, or people who dont take it well because it causes a "show" or "Scene." they dont have to break down or cry for people to get amusement, if it starts a fight, or even an arguement that results in yelling and people gathering to see if it turns into a fight.

43297 He looked at her. "Hmm.... well." he wasnt sure what to say on that. He paused for a minute, "Hay, here we go," he says as he hears one of his favorite singers are palying on the radio, "have you heard this song before, Its 'Follow Me' by Uncle Kracker." The lyrics start playing *You dont know how you met me you dont know why, but you cant turn away and say goodbye, all you know is when im with i make you free, and swim through your veins like a fish in the sea...*

43297 He smiles at her, "No problem." Eric shuts the door and walks around to the other side and gets in. "So," he starts, "you dont know me and your just gonna come to my house with me alone? You never know i could be a bad guy" he jokes while starting his truck up and backs out.

43297 Its human nature, Were naturally evil and like to see others in discomfort. Ok, MOST people are that way. So they make labels, or nicknames, to put people down so they themselves feel better.

43297 Eric snapped at that, He leaned over and in a hushed voice said something to the girls that made them go bug eyed. He turned around and replied, "Why dont we just leave now?" he asks, "its not like it really matters, this being the last class and being half over."

43297 Eric did not smile back. he half heartedly say "hey" back. He was slightly irratated at the moment and didnt particulalry trust himself to say anything more.

He wrote back, "people like that are why the world is so twisted these days. *sigh* we have what two more classes after this one?"
