Sounds good. That gives me a bit of wiggle room.

45059 Dreampunk would be an excuse for me to read Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, so it's fine with me.

I did find a Decopunk list, though. If we need it at some point.

45059 I need to get around to Mary Poppins. I might put it on my list for next year.

Here's a shelf for Weird West, which has some suggestions. This isn't exhaustive, but it's a starting point.

45059 I wound up taking 2024 year off due to chronic health problems, so I don't know if I have a right to make suggestions. But I am planning to participate this coming year, so I throw a few out there...

Anything that blends the 1800s or the Old West with sci-fi/fantasy elements. Not sure how you'd want to phrase that.

Media Tie-In is always welcome as I am on a Doctor Who tear at the moment.

45059 I've got most of my things tentatively planned. I'm still thinking about Located in Asia. I've found quite a few Asian-inspired books, but I'm not sure they're actually set in Asia.

I'm kicking around Under the Dome for 1k. It just skids in over the 1k mark at 1074 pages.

Arthurian will be pretty easy, and I have lots of options for free book.
45059 I don't know what I'll do for 1k. I've been looking for omnibus editions, but the things keep coming in at 750-950 pages. I did find the Shannara trilogy, but I keep hearing mixed things about that. Anyone read it?

I guess I could reread LotR.

45059 I'm loosely adopting Andrea's theme of non-human humanoid characters. I have lots of books that will potentially fit. Most of what I have so far are on theme, but a few aren't.

45059 I've already given some ideas, but I will throw out there that I wouldn't mind seeing Omnibus show up on a card.
45059 I'm reasonably sure Charles DeLint's stuff would fit Elfpunk. At least some of it.
45059 I was doing some research and discovered that Elfpunk is a thing:

45059 I don't know if you've ever read Detective Strongoak and the Case of the Dead Elf or any of the other books in the series. I discovered it on Amazon a couple of years back. The first book is only 99 cents, and it's kind of a hardboiled mystery from what I can tell. I still have to read it myself.

I like this theme idea. I might adapt it a bit for my own uses.
45059 I was thinking "by a favorite author" or even "lesser known work by a famous author"

45059 Thank you for all the ideas! I'll be checking these out. :)
45059 I love all the punks. The atompunk aesthetic is awesome, and I love the movies/books that have grown out of it. Another I'm intrigued by is decopunk. I might do a side "punk" challenge and see how many I can read next year.
