Recently got several varieties of lingerie to complement the silicone breastplate I received from Amazon, and aside from having to return some pairs of panties that I thought didn't cover enough of my crotch, I've been pleased with the purchases. With bodysuits, underwear, and a corset, together with a scrunchie and clip-on earrings, I think this is probably the most feminine I've ever looked and felt.Petra, I'm curious about your carving practice. Is it a trade, something people can commission you for? Or is it just a hobby?
Got fitted for breast forms at a mastectomy clinic yesterday, and I've been pretty happy with the purchase. They're less heavy than I was expecting, given the size, but they feel nice, especially in low-cut shirts, they almost feel like real flesh, and I've had far less chest dysphoria since putting them on. I felt quite naked last night without them when I was trying to sleep last night, but they've made me happy so far.
We've been having a second wave of our own in Ontario. It's gotten severe enough that the provincial government limited social gatherings to 10 people, at least in doors. Outdoors is 25, I believe. I've mostly been insulated by a (perhaps sometimes needlessly) obstinate refusal to leave my dorm unless absolutely necessary. Keep safe, Ellie.
Got back safely to university. It was a nice Thanksgiving; saw some relatives from Saskatchewan for the first time in years (a cousin and my maternal grandfather, more specifically), and after receiving a padded bra from my elder sister's girlfriend I feel slightly more like a woman now.
Got my wisdom teeth removed two days ago; seems the upper ones came out far more smoothly, because stitches aside it doesn't feel like anything happened to it. My lower jaw is a different story; it's in perpetual discomfort and pain, though I'm told it should only improve from tomorrow onwards. Also had a slight change of name and gender identity, and so far my family's taken it in stride.
Finished reading Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett today. Felt far more like a Pratchett book than anything Gaiman's written; the footnotes and comedic sensibilities were straight out of Discworld. The villains were very Gaiman, though, because they're the sort of villains who revel in evil and the misery of others. Quite enjoyed it on the whole, and I'd also happily recommend the Amazon miniseries, it's a rather faithful adaptation.
Celebrated a Discord server's first anniversary. The attendance was higher than any of us apparently anticipated. Read them a poem, and sang for them too. Also wrote a music review, more specifically of Here Come the Warm Jets by Brian Eno:

Kind of cloudy now, but otherwise it's been about as warm as I expect from the month. I've recently reread the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, and for the first time I felt compelled to create playlists for those books, if that's of any interest to anyone:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1I...
Don't know what measures libraries in Ottawa are taking, but I'm told bookstores in Ottawa are open again. I've not bothered to visit any out of fear of becoming an asymptomatic vector, so I'm making do with buying ebooks, and also ordering a Discworld book.
My sister seems to be in a better state of mind after having stayed with her boyfriend for a weekend, Petra, and to the best of my knowledge my parents' separation is proceeding as planned.
My sisters attended a protest recently, and by all accounts it went better than I thought it would. The worst that happened was someone having a seizure and three people getting heatstroke, and that's all the police intervention there was.
Just got back from a visit to Toronto; my mom and I drove my younger sister to her boyfriend's places because she's that afraid of our dad. Walking the Etobicoke Creek trail was a highlight; so much plant life I almost forgot we were in Toronto.
Wrote another music review, because I've been on an industrial kick lately:https://www.sputnikmusic.com/review/8...
I've been slightly more active than usual; walking slightly more than usual, and eating slightly more as well. The weather's improved drastically too, it no longer feels like mid-November or late spring.
Had a bit of childhood nostalgia and revisited a childhood favourite:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Recently drafted a review of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.https://letterboxd.com/thecracken/fil...
On my end, the premier seems to be doing the right things, which is exactly what I wasn't expecting him to do. I fear he'll go back to his old ways of, if you'll excuse my language, fucking over students and teachers and screwing with education once this crisis is over, but so far he's doing far better than I thought he would.
