Ok I've started
just to read in the background. I did get it for review, but they didn't give a date and I got it after pub date. I'm still reading
Finished
and it was really great. McGarry gets me every time. Although I am not as enamored with her Thunder Road series as this one. I really need to read
but Noah and Echo weren't ever my favorite characters.

Almost done with
. Thank goodness. 92% in so I will finish today. I will start
when I get home b/c I only have it in print. And I will just read
for the rest of the day since I'm about 30% into that. I also want to start
because what could possibly be BAD about Daemon's POV?????

And it's not even good romance, to boot. It's just kind of over the top. I will finish it, but it won't get high ratings from me.

The cover is fantastic. And many of my friends enjoyed it. But it's SO slow and there's just too much focus on the romance. It is ruining the story.
Started Sword and Verse. 27% in and I'm waiting for something to happen. My friends enjoyed this one so I'm hoping it picks up since I just DNF'd that other one.

But I do get annoyed with traditionally published books from big publishers that seem like they were just pushed through to publication without proper care taken to edit and fix them. I've edited my own book a minimum of 10 times and had about 20 beta readers give me feedback. I want to have it edited professionally, but it's not cheap. Again, I know writing is not easy, but I can also tell when it's an inherent thing for an author and when it's pushed from someone who doesn't quite have the talent or hasn't honed the craft well yet. I guess I'm just picky, critical, not sure what to call it.

Looks like
is going to probably be a DNF. It's ALL telling. I am just not getting sucked in. I'm at 26% and I'm going to give it until 30% and be done. This year has been the year of DNFs :(

I refuse to start, LOL! There are still three more books to come out and I just can't get caught up in another series where I feel like I'm waiting forever for the next one. I am collecting them to binge when it's closer to the publication of the final book.

Finished
and I am not impressed. Probably a 2.5 from me. It was a bit of a struggle to get through it. And very unrealistic, to the point of ridiculousness. it's for a blog tour, so I'm not sure what to do about it. Just don't think my review will work to promote it. Starting
for a blog tour. Hope it's better.

well book 1 anyway. I loved it. finally starting
:)"I need to read Oblivion. I'm worried I'll be bored with it since it's a retelling from Daemon's perspective.
