51477 Ok I've started Oblivion (Lux, #1.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout just to read in the background. I did get it for review, but they didn't give a date and I got it after pub date. I'm still reading The Isle (The Ward, #2) by Jordana Frankel

51477 Finished Chasing Impossible by Katie McGarry and it was really great. McGarry gets me every time. Although I am not as enamored with her Thunder Road series as this one. I really need to read Breaking the Rules (Pushing the Limits, #1.5) by Katie McGarry but Noah and Echo weren't ever my favorite characters.

I would say these are definitely on young side of YA reading for sure.

51477 Almost done with Sword and Verse (Sword and Verse, #1) by Kathy MacMillan . Thank goodness. 92% in so I will finish today. I will start The Isle (The Ward, #2) by Jordana Frankel when I get home b/c I only have it in print. And I will just read Chasing Impossible by Katie McGarry for the rest of the day since I'm about 30% into that. I also want to start Oblivion (Lux, #1.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout because what could possibly be BAD about Daemon's POV?????

And it's not even good romance, to boot. It's just kind of over the top. I will finish it, but it won't get high ratings from me.

That's to bad Brooke. It look..."

The cover is fantastic. And many of my friends enjoyed it. But it's SO slow and there's just too much focus on the romance. It is ruining the story.

51477 59% into Sword and Verse and I'm not seeing the appeal.

51477 I'm 51% into this book and I'm not really seeing the appeal.

51477 Started Sword and Verse. 27% in and I'm waiting for something to happen. My friends enjoyed this one so I'm hoping it picks up since I just DNF'd that other one.

I certainly get that. And I know it's not easy to write. But I do get annoyed with traditionally published books from big publishers that seem like they were just pushed through to publication without proper care taken to edit and fix them. I've edited my own book a minimum of 10 times and had about 20 beta readers give me feedback. I want to have it edited professionally, but it's not cheap. Again, I know writing is not easy, but I can also tell when it's an inherent thing for an author and when it's pushed from someone who doesn't quite have the talent or hasn't honed the craft well yet. I guess I'm just picky, critical, not sure what to call it.

Yes, I think this is the problem! I've read too many awesome books with fantastic writing and I don't have the patience for bad writing!

It's not horrid. But the way there is no showing and just telling is BORING!

I wasn't a huge fan of this book, though I know so many who were. I didn't get a chance to read on in the series, yet. I want to but I need more TIME!

I refuse to start, LOL! There are still three more books to come out and I just can't get caught up in another series where I feel like I'm waiting forever for the next one. I am collecting them to binge when it's closer to the publication of the final book.

I changed mine, but still won't make it. Sad, but true. I will most likely be about 5 books off. Unless I read a bunch of novellas really fast! LOL!

51477 Finished Shade Me by Jennifer Brown and I am not impressed. Probably a 2.5 from me. It was a bit of a struggle to get through it. And very unrealistic, to the point of ridiculousness. it's for a blog tour, so I'm not sure what to do about it. Just don't think my review will work to promote it. Starting Inked (Inked #1) by Eric Smith for a blog tour. Hope it's better.

I need to read Oblivion. I'm worried I'll be bored with it since it's a retelling from Daemon's perspective.
