PS, my comments about challenges and difficulty were only directly towards myself. Bev has done a great job with this group, and I don't my comments to seem directed towards her efforts. I am the failure :/
Hannah, it was to the point that I was hating any *must read* book. I know a lot of folks thrive on challenges, but I can't do it. I must read what I want to read and when I want to read it.
Hannah wrote: "Thanks, ladies!Glad it's accomplished. Not sure if I'll participate for another reading challenge. Did the 2012 GR challenge and did this 12 book challenge this year, and frankly the pressure I..."
Same here, I hit my challenge level and didn't want to go any further, unless the mood got me to pick up one of the pre-2012 acquisitions.
Congrats on finishing.

Yes they do, even if they're shiny *new* OOPs.
Jeannette wrote: "Unfortunately, my buddy-reads have not been on the mountain. That's why I went for Pike's Peak. I'm sort of stalled with GWTW, too. I'm just not good with the chunksters...."Just read what makes you happy. This is why I rarely do challenges. Can't blame Karla for bailing at all.
Catie wrote: "Well done Hayes! And all you others who have done so well!I am late to the party as always but can report that I have read my 25 books and made Pike's Peak. Though I could well hit the next peak ..."
I think I'm two away from Arrarat, and like Catie I'll just be coasting after that.
You are welcome. If you try for Bookmooch, give the two-in-one edition a shot, then you'll have both for one point.
I liked them both, but Listen to Danger was the better of the two. Lots of red herrings to keep you guessing.
That's a Rosalind Laker I hadn't heard of. #38. The Voice of the Dolls and Listen To Danger by Dorothy Eden. This is the two book edition I'd read and had counted Voice of the Dolls separately. They are both published individually and are complete novels.
@ Dawn. I'm not even sure if there are fireworks in the evening at this park, but neither here nor there there is no heat wave on this corner of the US. Most of the cities have pretty strict regulations on use, but folks just keep on breaking the rules anyway :/
Dawn, thankfully they open the book sale at 8AM so it might not be so bad. I just can't resist though.
You did fine. What I think we need is a support group to stop us from getting more :pPS, I spotted a big FOL on the 4th. This is new, the Friends of the librar have a big sale as part of the city's 4th of July bash. Parking will suck, but they say the books haven't been picked over.
