665976 Time to go through my audio and ebooks for any horror/spooky books I may have (most likely) forgotten I already own.
Sep 01, 2023 12:57PM

665976 Finished: Macbeth #killingit (OMG Shakespeare) by Courtney Carbone , Macbeth by William Shakespeare , Enchanted to Meet You (Witches of West Harbor #1) by Meg Cabot , El diario de la princesa (El diario de la princesa, #1) by Meg Cabot , Family Lore by Elizabeth Acevedo Love of My Lives by Yamile Saied Méndez , Antony and Cleopatra by William Shakespeare , Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare

Listened: Brown and Gay in LA The Lives of Immigrant Sons by Anthony Christian Ocampo , Coraline by Neil Gaiman

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in this summer's reading, very few made it past three stars, and it all felt underwhelming.

665976 For some reason this time around I couldn't get myself to post any updates. And I really think I need to come up with another way to keep up with what I've read outside of Goodreads.

Read:
The Comedy of Errors by Vincent Goodwin The Taming of the Shrew by Saddleback Educational Publishing Penelope's Daughter by Laurel Corona YOLO Juliet (OMG Shakespeare) by Brett Wright Diary of the White Witch (The Beauchamp Family, #0.5) by Melissa de la Cruz Witches of East End (The Beauchamp Family, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz Serpent's Kiss (The Beauchamp Family #2) by Melissa de la Cruz

Hoping to finish today:

665976 I don't think I've ever joined this one, it's definitely been a while since I've joined any challenges. I totally flopped on last month's Frightfall so I'm looking forward to see where I can go with this one.

665976 I'm not sure if I haven't been in the mood to sit and read (I've been doing pretty well with audiobooks while working on things) or if I'm just procrastinating because the books I want to read are really long; despite repeatedly reminding myself to pick shorter one.
I also don't know why I'm on such a nonfiction kick lately.

Books finished: Smart Pop Explains Marvel Movies and TV Shows by The Editors of Smart Pop Smart Pop Explains Harry Potter Books and Movies by The Editors of Smart Pop

Audiobooks: Jane Against the World Roe v. Wade and the Fight for Reproductive Rights by Karen Blumenthal Elvis and Me The True Story of the Love Between Priscilla Presley and the King of Rock N' Roll by Priscilla Presley

Listened to: Joke's On You by Lisa Becker

I loved being able to listen while I worked. I try to now, but since I'm home I feel like it's harder to focus. (As opposed to when I was in a room full of people, go figure.)

I'm not sure I was aware that Stepford Wives and Rosemary's Baby were from the same author. I read Stepford wives years ago and wasn't all that crazy about it; and Rosemary's Baby has been on my list for awhile now.

I'm still just starting Mexican Gothic, I feel like it's a slow build up but something about the style has caught my attention enough. As for Miss Peregrine, I only have the first three and will probably see how I feel about continuing afterward, I hadn't realized the series had gotten so long.
