720 I liked reading them mostly in order, but the only real benefit to that is that you will get the character cross overs a bit better. There are a couple that really should be read in order, like Blood Sucking Fiends should be read before You Suck and Bite Me, and you should read Stupidest Angel after you have already read Lust Lizard, Lamb, and Love Nun. I hope you enjoy them! :)

720 So I was just sitting here munching on a bag of Emperor Norton Original San Francisco Style Sourdough Snacks (which I don't think you can find outside of the Bay Area), and I got to thinking about The Emperor from the books. Then I wondered how many people out side of this area knows about Emperor Norton, who I am pretty sure The Emperor is a play on. So I have decided to share some knowledge with you via wiki.. I hope you enjoy.

AG posted this, I had to share...

720 According to AG's blog on myspace, he has confirmed the release date of Fool (Feb. 10th) and he also gave a glimpse of his next book. Here is the first paragraph he posted...

"The city of San Francisco is being stalked by a huge, shaved vampyre cat named Chet, and only I, Abby Normal, emergency back-up mistress of the greater Bay Area night, and my manga-haired love monkey, Foo Dog, stand between the ravenous monster and a bloody massacre of the general public. Which isn't, like, as bad as it sounds, because the general public kind of sucks ass."

Very excited. Yay more Abby!
So there you go, my chickadees, happy news indeed! :)

720 I just love A. Lee Martinez. Gil was great, In the Company of Ogres was hilarious. I highly reccomend all of his novels (all 4 of them). :)

720 I had heard a while ago that he might be working on something that has to do with Shakespeare. I'm not sure if this is that project, but I'm hoping so.

720 In case you didn't hear about it yet, Christopher Moore announced on his blog today that he has finished his latest (11th)book! It still has to be edited and printed, so maybe in like 6 months to a year.. but hey, its coming. Yay!

720 I've tried a lot of the more common authors usually related to Moore but I have yet to find one that makes me laugh the same. I've read one Hiaasen, it was ok.. I read one of Tom Robbins, again.. ok. There isn't a single author I know that I can completely compare to Moore, but I am going to keep searching. For now these would be the ones I would recommend for Moore Fans:

A. Lee Martinez, especially the book In the Company of Ogres. It's about Never Dead Ned and his misadventures as the new commander of Ogre Company. (As Ogre Company’s newly appointed commander, Ned finds himself in charge of such fine examples of military prowess as a moonstruck Amazon, a very big (and very polite) two-headed ogre, a seductively scaly siren, a blind oracle who can hear (and smell) the future, a suicidal goblin daredevil pilot, a walking tree with a chip on its shoulder, and a suspiciously goblinesque orc...)

The Nightside series by Simon R. Green. Great fun, fast, bizarre, pulpy fantasy detective novels.

I'm a huge fan of Neil Gaiman, espcially American Gods.

Hollow Chocolate Bunnies Of The Apocalypse but Robert Rankin was kinda fun too, I've been meaning to try something else of his.

I think I'll leave it at that for now, or else I might just rattle off my whole list of books. :)
