Totally agree. I'm going to have to make his other books a priority now. He knocked it out of the park!

At first I thought the ending was going to disappoint me--things just got so bad for poor Seb. Then the ending...it was great. Loved this one!!!

72811 This book is SO GOOD!!! I love the mentions of the Temple of Last Days. Can't put it down.

72811 Oh gosh, I have to pick this one up again? Okay, okay, I can do this....where's my night light?

72811 And I have to say that the language and character study in this book are pretty stunning. I feel like I'm in the freakin' scene with Seb.

72811 I'm at 25% and finding this book very disturbing. I feel like this book is giving me anxiety. The smells, oh the smells...

72811 That's good to hear, gotta get to this one! Last Days was kick ass scary so I expect this one to be too.

72811 It is a lot for those of us who buy books pretty much constantly....I got this one but its the last even for this month I think. I'm excited to be reading another Nevill book!

72811 Either way I'm glad to get to read a book by him and will definitely be open to more in the future. I thought his writing was much better than Laymon, btw.

72811 I too was looking for a cool historical explanation for what the haunting force was besides just some 'evil' entity. Also, the part with the father in law came out of nowhere and seemed unnecessary. The first half or three-quarters was great and I was looking forward to a cool ending but it seemed like the author had too many ideas (all the historical stuff) and couldn't decide which way to go. If it had been like one big massacre that was the key to it, it would have made more sense. I get why the backstory with the son, so the father could be redeemed with his self-sacrifice, so I was okay with that aspect of the story.

72811 I changed the spoilers to 100% so we could discuss the end of the book!

72811 Oh, I like the Adam Nevill suggestion! Last Days was great and I'd like to read more by him.
