I have been listening to a lot of free for review books lately, not much worth talking about there lol. The new keene novela "with teeth" was pretty good though.

I love lansdale, that series was great for work because all the audiobooks where around 8 hours so i could finish a full book each night. I had to look the other series up but it sounds good. not that im one to judge anyone for what they read, have you seen my finished book shelf? lol.

I read the first book years ago but never finished the series. I see they are making a tv show that looks good.
Hey guys, I Haven't been on in awhile, I got rid of my data plan on my phone and deleted all my social media accounts also. I miss this group but it was getting hard to keep up with updates and will be even harder now without data. How have you both been though?
This was my first laymon and i loved it, but other than the MC's being children i dont remember anything. Im reading the spoilers and still have no idea. I bought the audiobook awhile ago and i think its time to listen to it.
Ok, i figured it out. It was on amazon but was published by darkfuse which went out of business. You probably cant get it anymore unless you find a used copy in print somewhere. Sorry about that
Im pretty sure it used to, but i had read them all before the collection was put together and didnt buy it so maybe not.
This is the first one i have joined in awhile so i hate to do it but even with it being read to me i cant get through this one. Im going to have to drop out and call audible to return it for my credit back
The third book in the collection is the underdwellimg which was also good. I read them all before the collection was put together amd they may still be lendable if you want me to check
Asylum i have been listening to a lot from this author lately and really enjoying them. His books are cheap and most you can add audible for only a couple bucks more. All he writes is ghost stories/paranormal stuff.
I read the rest of the way to 25% and it got boring again and is continuing with that into the next section. Im maybe 30% in which is usually where i will drop a book if im not enjoying it. I will give this one to 50% though which i should reach today at work if i dont get too bored and quit.
Im just under 25%. I thought it started out pretty good with the man and the little girl, very ominous with a building dread that something was going to happen to the girl. It was also drawn out though, All of his Constant paranoia of getting caught and then not getting caught. After that the introduction to the chowder society was boring but it was introducing characters and setting the story up so it wasn't bad, just a slow section. With the first ghost story it really got good and I'm finally getting into it. I'm just past the part where he has the nightmare that the other 3 members of the society are dead and tells his business partner only to find out he had a similar dream but with only the other 2 members dead. My guess is because that's the order they will die in. I don't remember names but the one who dreamed of all 3 will be the last one killed (or a lone survivor?) And the person who dreamed of the other 2 dead is because he is the third to die. I'm also very curious about the girl and not so worried about what will happen to her anymore.
Ok, 3 hours in and its getting good. 1 will listen to a couple more hours tomorrow to get me to 25% and then i will be back.
Im listening on audible and im not even close to 25% yet but, an hour and a half into the 22 and a half hour book and i am so bored i need to take a break. Hopefully it picks up.
I have mine ready to go. I started reading this one back in high school and then my dog chewed it up and i never finished. I was only a couple chapters in though.
I enjoyed this but it wasn't my favorite laymon novel. I didnt like how quickly the father went savage, although thats typical of laymon. It was gory and action packed but it still managed to get boring around 75% or so.
