Unbreak My Heart by Melissa C. Walker
Status:
"On page 17, Unbreak my Heart is written in first person. I know this because it uses the words 'I' and 'we'. If this book wasnt written in first person, you wouldnt know what the main character, Clementine, is going through and how her life is through her point of view. You wouldn't be able to understand the exact feeling and thoughts she has towards other characters in the story." May 19, 2013 09:59AM

One of the Survivors by Susan Shaw
Status:
"On page 163, I think the action that propelled the story forward was the fire in Jason's class that only he and his friend survived. This provoked all the characters to call him a murder and to say he set the fire." May 06, 2013 05:00AM

The Lost City of Faar by D.J. MacHale
Status:
"On page 247, In my book there are two points of view, first person and third person omniscient. The part that is first is in the journals of Bobby that Courtney and Mark read, which shows the personal opinions and understanding of Bobby at the time he rights the journals. When Courtney and Mark are not reading the journals it is third person omniscient, which is not biased because it is not told from a specific character." May 19, 2013 07:28PM

Brian's Return by Gary Paulsen
Status:
"On page 23, A particular line of dialog that reveals aspects of a character is when Brian quoted "The wild is my home." This shows that Brian is very brave and enjoys the outdoors. This also shows that living in the wild for six months alone can change a person from living in civilization to be more comfortable living in the wild. The wild is his happy place." The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd
Status:
"On page 171, The point of view in this book is first person. This helps me to understand the book more because I am able to know what the main character of the story is thinking as well as doing. When her father was talking to her she had to agree to him. When she said that she agreed to what her father said, she was secretly frustrated at him and didn't actually want to agree. If it was in third person I wouldn't be able to know" May 14, 2013 01:32PM

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
Status:
"On page 236, When a sign in the crank town says "Thomas is the real leader" propels action throughout the book because everyone thinks that he is special and if they capture him they will be saved from this deadly disease called the flare. Also he tries to make sure his group doesn't see the sign because he does not want to be the leader of the group since his friend is the leader." Apr 28, 2013 05:13PM

Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo
Status:
"On page 70, "Jesus was the only one in heaven who had purple on, Dad. Did you know that?" said Colton. This line is showing how Colton is starting to tell his parents about how when he went into major surgery, he went to heaven. It is revealing that later in the book he is going to admit fully that he went to heaven and he is going to share more about what he saw there when he went." Apr 28, 2013 09:34AM

Wicked Lovely is told in third person omniscient. Third person omniscient helps me see what the mortals and what the faeries are thinking and feeling. It helps me understand that even though Aislinn doesn't trust the faeries, I get to know why they do certain things like, always following Aislinn and snooping around from knowing what Keenan is thinking and doing. Slam! by Walter Dean Myers

"On page 191, The point of view is 1st person. This gives me insight to the main character's own thoughts, which strenghtens my understanding of him. An example of this is, "That ammonia bother you?" "Not that much," I lied." In this example I know that the main character lied. If this were told from a different point of view I would not know this." May 17, 2013 12:27PM

The book im reading is in first person, its from the point of view of the protagonist because the main character chooses not to speak. Its in first because it uses "I" when speaking. May 19, 2013 07:29PM
