84884 I finished 36 for Mt Vancouver and hope to finish two more from the pile. I enjoyed doing this and getting to discover what had been waiting on the shelf. Unfortunately, since I kept buying books, the ranges keep growing...

84884 Carolyn, A friend gave me The Clerk's Tale as a present, probably because we both like the Brother Cadmael series. Actually, this one worked well as a standalone, I thought. I do want to check out the first one in the series now... Not sure I want to commit to all of them, though! Thanks for info on PJ Alderman. I'll keep him/her in mind.
