I am going to start with The Adventures of Tom Sawyer since I haven't read it in over 20 years and it is on my nook. I will figure out the rest as we go.
I am going to read The Lightning Thief and if I have time, I am going to read The Book of Lost Things.
I loved Wuthering Heights and the Harry Potter books. As for Lovely Bones ....wasn't all it was cracked up to be and Life of Pi was a stretch to get through. All fuss for no reason ;) Thanks for relating!
I read The Hunger Games and gave it 3 stars. I wanted to like this book and just couldn't. I gave it three stars b/c I felt it was good for the genre, but it has taken me 3 weeks to finish it. I felt like I was forcing myself to finish it since I have heard soooo many good things about it.
Oh heck, I will join in too! Must get rid of chunk of tbr this year ;) I can do it, I can do it......1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
2. Barrel Fever: Stories and Essays
3.
4. Life's a Beach
5. Keeping the House: A Novel
6. What Do You Do All Day?: A Novel
7. Breaking Dawn
8. The Mercy of Thin Air
9. In the Woods
10. Working on the Edge: Surviving In the World's Most Dangerous Profession: King Crab Fishing on Alaska's HighSeas
Cam, I am with you....mine was a gift for my birthday courtesy of the in laws and rents! ;) Hope your daughter can get a lot of her books on her e-reader!I am loving my Nook for travel. It was much easier over the holiday. I left the library books at home and caught up on them when I returned. I do find I am much better in the car with it too.
I recently got a Nook and I am still reading real books too. I got it for convenience and to use with real books. I love it and am glad I waited a bit to break down and get it. I was able to get a lot of free books from Barnes and Noble. I too am using my e-reader to read books, such as classics, I always meant to read. I find it is great to have so that I can run two books at the same time easier.
Pleased to say I actually read a book for the shelf this month! It has been a while :) I just finished A Visit from the Goon Squad and gave it 3 stars. I had really high expectations and this book just didn't live up to the hype for me. I found myself muddling through it to finish. Just not for me, but others might love.
Lyn, I am loving your response to all this! Had me laughing this am, and completely what I expected ;) !
Congrats Lynne! We are so lucky to have all the wonderful moderators and you are going to make a wonderful addition!
I finished The Zookeeper's Wife a few days ago. 4 stars! I was amazed and heartbroken. Quite an interesting read. I have been reading a lot of nonfiction lately, so off to read some lighter fiction!
