Wow! Divergent sounds great. I hadn't even heard of it."
I know right! My friend recommended it to me and it's been going crazy on goodreads so I can't wait to read it!
It's been a few a while since I've done a pick a shelf challenge as 2011 was a busy year for me but for one of my goals for 2012 I want to do try and keep up with it the whole year!I've picked Mockingjay and Divergent.
Good luck everyone!
Monica wrote: "I wanna play too!! I do this in another group on a different site and I like it. So Katey I want you to read
because I love everything Harry P..."This is so perfect because I just bought this book to add to my Harry Potter collection thanks!
Adrienne wrote: "The person choosing for me should choose from this list. Thanks!"OOOOHHH! I wanna play!
Adrienne I choose Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas because everybody has to read that book and because I want to read it too!
Whoever picks for me can please pick from my to read list.
Thanks!
I've tried to steer clear of paranormal romance mythology type books this month as PA is one of my favourite genres, so I've chosen:The Alchemyst
Preludes and Nocturnes
How have I fared?
Speak 4 stars.Funny, witty and a little depressing.
Unfortunately I saw the movie before I knew it was a book so my reading experience was a little different.
Just finished Cut by Patricia McCormick and give it 5 stars.I'm surprised at how much I actually enjoyed reading this book. Cut is an amazing page turner, short but sweet.
What I loved most about this book was how everyone supported and cared for Callie. There were no bullies and it wasn't a depressing book like a thought it would be. I recommend this book to teenagers who do this kind of thing or anyone that feels down or alone.
Vicki wrote: "I enjoyed both Speak and Looking for Alaska. Hope you do too! Heard quite a bit of dissenting opinions on The Road. It is on my shelf, but I haven't gotten to it."Thanks Vicki! I look forward to reading them then.
I haven't done one of these monthly challenges for a few months but I'm so excited this about reading some contemporary fiction and shaving some books off of my ever growing "to be read" list!I've chosen:
Speak
Looking for Alaska
The Road
