I read All Systems Red by Martha Wells. 4 starts


This is the first installment of the "Murderbot Series". The company rules the planetary system and sends security androids along with all missions. This is where we are introduced to our main character a SecUnit that has hacked its own governor module and refers to itself as "Murderbot". Murderbot wants to be left alone to find itself and watch TV. The SecUnit doesn't particularly like humans, but what will he do when a neighboring mission goes dark?

I enjoyed the book and loved the Murderbot. I will add the second book to my TBR.

I will read The Summer Book. It's been on my TBR for awhile.

A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton

I have wanted to try this series for awhile and thought the book was just ok for me. A is for Alibi is the first of the Kinsey Millhone series and was published in 1982. Not sure if I was distracted this go round or if this book was just not my cup of tea.

I read How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu.

This is a dark book that is made up of a collection of interconnected short stories. The story begins in 2030, when a grieving archeologist arrives in the Arctic circle to continue his recently deceased daughter's research, only to discover a deadly virus.
