2. A Court of Thorns and Roses- FINISHED
3. The Diviners - DNF
4. Warcross - Not Started
5. SeaFire - Not Started
Let's see how this goes!
START: JANUARY 1ST, 2022 - DECEMBER 31ST, 2022.This challenge was started by the EHRTBM Group's original moderator, Luisa and I have decided to bring it to this group as well. Since we are the NEVERENDING TBR group. We need to help each other clean up our TBR piles as much as we can through out the year.
The goal of this Challenge: Read the 5 oldest books on your To-Be-Read (TBR)
HOW TO PLAY:
1. How to find your top 5 oldest TBR books:
Go to your personal bookshelf and click on your want-to-read shelf. This is your TBR shelf. Once you are there, click on the column head "dated added" and sort it from oldest to newest. You might have to click it a couple times to get it right. Once you have it sorted, note the top 5 books on this list in a comment below. A series is equaled to one book. If you think you are unable to complete that whole series this year plus your other books then you could skip to the next one on your list. These are the books you are aiming to finish this year. And this year only.
2. Keeping Score
Comment on this thread the 5 oldest books from your TBR shelf. When you've finished a book from your list check if off by adding the date you finished reading next to the title. See the below example.
EXAMPLE:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Finished June 5th, 2019
Cinder - Not started
Alice in Wonderland - Not started
3. To edit your challenge score/edit your comment
Find your comment in the thread and click "edit" at the bottom of your comment. Add your book date and notes and then click edit post once you are done.
The Challenge:
This challenge starts January 1st, 2022 and ends December 31st, 2022. You can join at any time. Also, if you start a book and don't want to finish it because its that bad. Just remove it from your list and replace it with the next book on your TBR list. Or just list it as a DNF. The purpose of this challenge is to read the books you've been putting off and clean up your TBR. So do whatever you want that will help you clean up that TBR pile and complete your reading goals for the year.
Thank you for joining us in this challenge and I hope we are able to read those 5 books this year!!
Good luck!

Hi Lin! Welcome to our little group here on goodreads. I wish you luck on cleaning up your TBR and also writing your own novel. I can't wait to hear more about that as well :)
Is anyone else listening to the audio book? I find the narrator so annoying. She just doesn't give any personality or life to the characters.
I have decided to extend the reading for this duology since things have been super crazy on my end and I haven't had time. It took me the whole month of September to finish the audio book for The Hazel Wood. This is the first time in my reading history where it took me that long to finish an audio book. I was shocked haha. I did enjoy the story and it gave me a lot of Cassandra Clare & Alice in Wonderland vibes. But I felt like it was lacking in something. Do you agree?
Oh boy! I am only 4 hours into the audio book so far. It's pretty interesting... it does give me City of Bones vibes as well.
Louie wrote: "This is a few days late but, yay! I read The Hazel Wood when it came out and I'm dying to reread it and read the sequel."Omg really? What is your opinion on it? Did you like it?
I am so excited to announce that we will be doing our another ReadAlong with the The Hazel Wood Duology by Melissa Albert . The read along for the first book will start on September 1st and end on September 30th. The second book The Night Country read along will start October 1st and end on October 31st.
Hazel Wood: 9/1 - 9/30
The Night Country: 10/1- 10/31
NOTE:
If you are not interested in this readalong you do not have to participate :)
But.. you can suggest a new series or novel for our next read along in our suggestion form! If you already read the duology you may post within this forum as well and share your thoughts :)

Happy Reading!
I am about 75% into Hollow City. And wow. There is much crazy action going on. These poor kids are running for their lives and the obstacles they are running into through out every single chapter is just insane. What page are you currently on? I'm at the part where they just ran into Sam and Esme. :)
I personally won't watch the movie until I complete most of the series, since I heard that the movie has an ending. So I dont want it to spoil anything for me, you know?I also heard that it was okay. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. So we shall see haha.
I can gladly say that I am finally on the second book of the series. I am really enjoying this series. It took me a bit to finally finish the first book. But I'm so glad I did. I am in love with this story right now. Its so thrilling!
Argh you guys!! I am still on the first book. I have not been able to pick up a book in two weeks. HELP!Reading slumps are so hard to get out of.
I don't have a good excuse, my time has been spent mostly in front of the tv and doodling.
Louie wrote: "I am planning on starting near the end of May, when I get through the other books I have to read this month.
I saw the movie in theaters, so I am very curious to read the book."
What were your thoughts on the movie? I heard mixed reviews. I would like to watch the movie after I finish the first book but I am not sure if I should or not.
