Just finished 'London Calling: A Countercultural History of London since 1945' and for the most part I liked it. However, the author Barry Miles said in the preface that he wrote more about the people and times he knew - he was in the midst of a lot of counterculture activities in the 60s and mid-70s - and it showed. Enormous detail in that period, then skates through punk, 80s, 90s, 00s. Disappointing that. — Dec 27, 2013 08:28AM
