[close] This book appealed to me because of its focus on the job market and how automation and robotics will affect the kinds of jobs that are available in the future. While I am of course curious about how my own job as a teacher will be impacted, I am also curious about how best to prepare my students for the jobs of the future. I don't want to prepare them with a skill set that will soon be obsolete!

[close] I opted to read The Monsters of Education Technology, which seems to be a collection of lectures and essays on the history and dangers of edutech. I know, I know...it seems odd to want to read something like that while in a Master's program for edutech but as a technophile I feel it'd be worthwhile to fully understand both sides of the issue.
