[close] This is yet another book sub-genre that is new to me. The synopsis gives a gray, mysterious, small town vibe and I already have questions in need of answers. With small town settings there are always complex characters which I love. But this doesn't sound like the normal "Woman moves to small southern town, cooks delicious food and goes soul searching. This time, they have a dead man and a mystery! Is it man vs man, man vs nature, man vs self? There are so many possibilities. Where The Crawdads Sing sounds like an interesting read I am willing to give a shot.

[close] This is the first self-help book I will ever read! I found this book through browsing Goodreads for book suggestions based on people's popular opinions. I have never read Eat, Pray, Love, but I heard many good things about it. This book discusses creativity and how it can improve our lives. I particularly struggle in this area. I love to be creative, but my mind gets ahead of me which takes a toll on people's self confidence. I'm pretty excited to read this one
