Also, try to use international terminology for political ideologies. Outside of the US, "liberalism" broadly means a system with individual and economic freedoms. Both American major parties are "liberal" parties. If you're talking about the liberalism of the Democratic Party in the US, either make it obvious in the text or refer to it as "Americal liberalism".
