The corn maze
As you edge closer to the corn maze, you start to think if this was a good idea.
Of course it is, you tell yourself, but you know that’s not true.
Think about all the people who’ve went into the maze and never came back. Think about all the people who went into the maze, came back and told you about all the skeletons they saw.
Oh stop, you think. Just get in.
Sweat all over you, you take a shaky breath and edge one centimetre closer . . . And a cold, invisible hand pushes you in.
