"This chapter/section reminds me of that chapter in (whatever book), where the action was X, but the intention was completely about (whatever). Has anyone read that? If not, I recommend it."

As opposed to:

"You should read this book, it's on sale now, here's the link" That's what I'm doing!

While I do have a politically focused book & would love a review of it, any political preaching or partisan posturing/taunting will earn an immediate ban. I have a very specific tolerance for well measured commentary - particularly when applied in support of a specific observation - but if you enjoy being a belligerent pedant or sneering at someone's lack of knowledge on any subject, go anywhere else now or prepare to face a severe verbal thrashing on the way to your banishment.
